This is what I used to replace my Synchron 645 24V, and it works perfectly.
It takes the place of "640 24V 60cy 5W 6RPM - 640 24V 60cy 5W 6RPM - 640 24V 60cy 5
Yes. So far, everything has gone well.
I don t know if it will replace the damper motor 645. It's a 640 model with the same 24 volts and either 60 or 50 HZ, but with a slightly faster rpm of 6/5. I used this motor to replace the damper motor on my furnace, and it works great; it's a little faster than the 645's 4 rpm, but that means the damper opens quicker. This isn't an exact replacement for my damper motor, but it works fine; I also have a friend who used it to replace his damper motor on his furnace, and it fits perfectly and functions properly. It'll only set you back a fraction of the price of a new damper. I'd give it a shot if I were you.

Having a four-year degree is a huge advantage. After watching my HVAC pro replace these things faster and more frequently than a squirrel burying chestnuts a couple of times (OK, a FEW times), I decided it would be foolish of me not to do it myself and save myself some time and money. Now, all you hvac guys and gals out there, put down your spears for a second. I'm not opposed to handing over some cash to my pro, but he knows I'm capable of handling this task, and he'd rather move on to something more important. He doesn't just have the motor in his truck, after all. He replaces the zone valve entirely, uses the motor, and discards the rest, claiming that "it's about the same cost" because he buys in bulk. No, I don't believe so. Anyway, this is a quick and easy 10-minute procedure (20 minutes if you haven't had your morning coffee yet). With a few screws and wire nuts, you're ready to watch your favorite sports team while sipping a cold barley-based beverage. pop. If you're unfamiliar with the motor installation process, watch a half-dozen YouTube videos. I recommend watching six videos because at least two or three of them will be fumblenuts who have no idea how to make a coherent 5-minute video. This is an 8-minute video of what they're up to. Please turn off the flamethrowers. I'm a good DIYer, but I'm not going to waste my time making a bad video to brag about it. br> I'm confident that anyone who can use a screwdriver can complete this project, but you must be at least 21 years old to do the barley-growing. portion of the pop Thank you for your time and consideration, and have a wonderful day.
I bought three of these motors to replace HVAC zone dampers that were still failing. I had to replace two of them a few years ago. I decided to give the more expensive "Honeywell" motors available on Amazon a try. Small boxes wrapped in newspaper contained the "Synchron" motors. The motors aren't labeled "Honeywell" like the Amazon listing suggests. br>br>The last time I bought two Synchron motors, they came in the same box but with new bubble wrap. I could have saved $21 if I had done something differently. 00 (3 x, plus an additional $7 per person) Synchron Motors is a company that sells synchronized motors. br>br>I expect to be purchasing more replacement motors in the not-too-distant future, based on previous experience.
I've had a zone control valve stuck open for the past two years. It would be 80 degrees when I got home from work or when I woke up in the morning. I used to simply tap the old valve to free it until it became inoperable. I assumed I'd have to replace the entire unit, which would be more work than I wanted to do, which is why it took me two years to deal with it. I started my internet search with the model number of the valve assembly, as we all probably do, and ended up on some very helpful forums where people were discussing these motors going bad. The issues that the people described were exactly the same as what I was going through. I was relieved to learn that the problem could be solved by simply swapping out the motor. (I was also irritated that I had to wait two years to get it fixed. ) The motor was brand new and arrived quickly. It took about 5 minutes to splice two wires with the provided wire nuts using a screwdriver and a wire cutter/stripper. This is something I should've done years ago. smh.
This motor did not fit my M874D1004 unit perfectly. It is not a problem that the speeds are different. The pinion gear, on the other hand, was approximately. The new motor is 080" longer than the original. Internal interference with the gear at this length prevented a complete return to the home position. By grinding the end down until it matched the original, I was able to reduce the length. This modification was successful and was required in order to achieve proper functionality.
This was a great solution. I have a radiant heating system that is powered by a boiler. The zones go out every now and then. It's a major source of aggravation and is a significant financial outlay when you own a system like this. Knowing that these 26 can now be used to repair these zone valves. It's a huge relief to hear that 00 motors are available. These motors were purchased from Amazon and Honeywell. Many people have predicted that plumbers and HVAC technicians will overcharge us. This is also a simple fix. Remove the two wires, unscrew the tiny screw, and replace it with a new one. In just 5 minutes, you'll be done. I'm going to buy more of these as backups because I'm so pleased with them. If your zone continues to allow heat to pass through, the motor is most likely broken. Replace it with one of these and you'll be back up and running in no time.
Because this motor's operating voltage is 24 VAC, I didn't have to worry about shock or electrocution during installation, though it's always best to turn off the power while doing so. The only drawback is that, like an incandescent light bulb, this motor has a limited lifespan. I used to have a great Barber-shop. Zone control valves from Colman that are built to last a lifetime. As a result, Honeywell motor replacement in zone control valves is a given and is built into the product.
After conducting extensive internet research into why my house was not properly heating, I came across an article recommending that people replace the motor in the zone valve head controller rather than purchasing the entire kit to save money. I looked up the part numbers on Amazon and purchased the motor from Patriot Supply. It arrived today, and I easily removed the old motor and replaced it with the new one after following the instructions. br>It was a dream come true. If you feel no resistance when pulling the lever to lock into manual position and no resistance when pulling the lever to lock into manual position, assume the motor is shot. br>br>After removing the old motor, I was able to easily spin the spindle. There is resistance in the new motor. br>br>My old motor was a Synchron, but it was stamped 9115 by Honeywell. The new motor is a Synchron, but it doesn't have a stamp on it.
