Questions & Answers
This kit is typically purchased if you're installing a new panel and need to separate neutral from ground, which you should do whenever the panel isn't at the service point of presence. If you want to bond the ground to neutral, you'll need to install the neutral lug kit, which is usually included with a new panel.
Hello Cooper,br>The neutral bar can be added to the load center. The (green) neutral bonding screw is responsible for the bonding of the ground and neutral bars in a main panel. Regards, br>
If it helps, the bar is only made of aluminum, but the screws are made of steel.
- It was for a non-profit organization that I used it. That's all I have to say about it because it's an electrical project.
I used the Neutral Terminal Kit, model HOM100AN.

how well it performs in the applications for which it was created; ) However, it worked out beautifully for my Kalimba! br>The body appears to be aluminum, as I was able to easily trim it with a hacksaw, but the screws appear to be stainless steel, as they are magnetic. br>To attach it to the Kalimba's wood/body, I used a variety of screws. They're small steel screws that go through the top (threaded) holes but not the three bottom (NON-THREADED) holes. I was able to screw them into the wood while still using the openings for tines, resulting in three "extra" notes. It also arrived *quickly*! br>br>.
br>After double-checking that this was the correct one for my Square D model, I bought it because it was a genuine Square D product at a lower price than my local electrical supply. br>br>I am satisfied.
After you've filled the panel with breakers, you can't have too many neutral and ground slots. It's wonderful to be able to avoid crowding the panel's bars. br>br>Easier to install BEFORE starting to connect the wires to the panel, so order this when you order your panel.

Square D created these panels in QO and Homeline. Because the neutral and ground are only connected in the main panel, they're usually used to add a separate ground bus to a subpanel. They can be used with either 0 or 1 or 2 machine screw holes provided by the manufacturer. If the panel doesn't have any holes, they'll tell you to use an odd-sized drill bit - It will work fine if you use the next smallest common size, which accepts up to 4 AWG.
Connecting and using it is a breeze.
My electrical inspector was astounded when I told him how much I paid for this. It's fun to look around and see what's available. The installation was extremely simple, and there have been no issues to date.
A generator disconnect switch is being installed ahead of my main panel, which is a quality Square D product. Since my main panel is now a sub panel, I needed these to separate the neutrals and grounds.
Installing it was a breeze.
