Kwikset door locks do not work with the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch.

Sorry, but it won't work with the Echo on its own. It's necessary to have an Aqara Hub.

HUB (the Aqara hub, not Smartthings) is required for Zigbee connection
3/5

Only buy if you want a second ZigBee hub to go with your existing one. br>Since Smartthings is a ZigBee hub, I assumed I was set. Wait, they're saying you'll need a second hub or some GitHub code to get this to work with Smartthings. As a result, the Aqara is Zigbee-enabled, but not the on/off switch.

The zigbee button is quite nice
5/5

I'm using the Nortek USB Zwave/Zigbee receiver with Home Assistant running in a headless VM on a NUC, and pairing it was a breeze. There was no need to use YAML; everything was done through the GUI and it worked perfectly. Using the adhesive backing on it, I'm making a bank-style under-the-counter button to unlock my door. Awesome.

Little 3- Home Assistant compatible action zigbee switch
5/5

Unless your home automation system doesn't support zigbee, there's nothing to dislike about this switch: it's small, has an adhesive backing for securing it somewhere, uses a common CR2032 button battery, and works with Home Assistant (HA). br>br>A HUSBZB-II is used in my Home Assistant setup. 1 USB stick with both Zigbee and Z-Wave capabilities This switch is great for using with wave radios. In the HA entity listing, you will only see the device's battery, which is normal. The entity, on the other hand, must report the percentage of the battery level. br>br>In HA, pressing a button acts as a TRIGGER for another action, such as turning on a light. One of these tiny switches is used to control a dimming power switch on an old lamp in my setup. I set up a single press to toggle on and off, a double press to turn on full brightness, and a long press to dim to a specific level. Simply use your imagination to turn this into a useful tool.

This isn't worth your time
3/5

I have a lot of Samsung smart devices, including remote buttons that work with smart plugs, fans, and other devices, so I figured I'd give an off-the-cuff demonstration. Give the brand a shot. When the Samsung buttons went out, this one appeared. stock. It cost $3 more than the genuine article, but I'm always willing to try new things. The packaging was flimsy, and the instructions were difficult to read. Worse, it was a brand new item. the- It simply did not work out of the box. The battery had run out. br>br> The battery compartment was sealed shut when I attempted to open it. I skipped calling the toll-free number. To beg for a $1 battery or a replacement, dial this number. I immediately requested a refund from Amazon. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime; otherwise, do not waste your time or money on this scumbag!.

Although this is a great wireless button, it is not always reliable
4/5

I'm just getting started with Homekit and have found the Aqara devices to be a fantastic group of products. First and foremost, the Aqara hub is required. Anyone who gives this product one star because of this needs some help and is being unfair to the product. br>Once you connect the switch to the Aqara hub, it exposes all three button modes to Homekit, so you can assign any automations you want with other Homekit compatible accessories right from the Apple Home app or other Homekit apps like Eve or Home 4. br>At the moment, I'm using these to start various lighting scenes in various rooms. The only problem I've had so far is that they don't always work; sometimes you press the button and nothing happens. You pause for a moment before pressing the button once more. Nothing. The third time it works, and most of the time they DO work as advertised. I use a single press to start one lighting scene, a double press to start another lighting scene, and a long press to turn all the lights off. Of course, you have complete control over how the button modes are assigned. br>One final note about these is that, because they use a Zigbee signal (Aqara, I believe, uses a bit of a non-Zigbee signal), they can't be used with other Zigbee devices. The range is quite good in the standard version. My hub is on the second floor, and the majority of my sensors and buttons are on the first floor, with signal strength ranging from acceptable to strong on all of them. I'll only buy accessories that use wifi or zigbee, and I'll avoid Bluetooth devices because of their poor signal ranges.

Mini switch with a lot of functionality, easy to program, and good price
5/5

For the past few years, I've experimented with various HomeKit devices before settling on the Aqara system. I also bought an Aqara mini switch to go with the smart hub. Between the time I opened the box and the time I had the switch integrated into the Home app, it took me less than 30 seconds to add the switch to my HomeKit ecosystem. The mini switch is slim and small (but not too small), and it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy, as its name suggests. Depending on the control (single push, double-push, etc. ) it can have up to three different assignments. whether to push or not to push and-hold) and it's a breeze to program them - Both the Aqara and Apple Home apps can be used to do this. The mini switch is ideal for devices that don't have access to a wall switch or don't have one at all. Mine serves as a backup switch for the lights in my bedroom. Yes, I can use the Home app, but when I need to turn off all of the lights quickly, nothing beats a small button on my bedside table! So far, everything has gone well, and I'm very pleased with the Aqara devices - Very easy to set up, fully compatible with HomeKit, and exactly what I needed!.

The Ikea remotes have a shorter battery life
4/5

I've been using Ikea remotes, which are less expensive, but the Ikeas' battery life isn't as good as these. These are a little more comfortable to hold, and the battery life "seems" to be longer - After a few months of use, I'll need to update. I wish there were more buttons on the remotes. br>Recent changes: The battery appears to be in good shape. I'm using one of these as a doorbell button that sends a signal to a Raspberry Pi, which then plays custom chimes. To be clear, I already have a setup with the Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant, so having this custom door chime is just an added bonus. A plastic box with an open bottom protects the button. It will be rainproof, but we'll see how well it can withstand the sun and heat of South Florida.
