Questions & Answers

Could you please tell me what the outer flange measurement is if we removed it?

In rough or exact measurements, the outer flange of the window is not included since it is not an integral part of the window. It is recommended that the minimum rough opening for this window be 32" W X 22" H (width X height). In fact, the actual dimensions are 31 34/" W X 21 3/4 H, based on the tip to tip frame measurement. The nailing flanges are not included. It is possible to make use of the nailing flange for new construction or to score and remove it for remodel projects.

In what dimensions does the moving (inner) window frame come? In other words, how big will the finished opening be?

exact size of the window is 31 by 14 inches*br>The rough opening for this window measures 32 by 14 inches Measures 3/4" wide by 13 1/2" long It measures 29 inches at its widest point*br> Measures 3/4" wide by 13 1/2" long Approximately 1/2 inch

The window can be perched in another open position. Besides completely parallel to the frame, is it possible to open the window in another position?

Fully open, the window is perpendicular (90 degrees Degrees) from The position you want it in remains unchanged (0-90- Degrees) from Therefore, if you want your business to open at 45, you should start at that time The more it stays in place, the longer it will last. It is my hope that this will help.

There is a 32x22 window that reads, "Actual " A little over 75 x 21 in. 75" in length. What is that without the new construction flange on the outside of the frame or with it?

The flange is included.

One con does not outweigh the value and quality of the product
5/5

In a nutshell, All things considered, I feel very satisfied with the quality and The windows were packaged and padded well when they arrived. There were three windows in all (I bought three) that were individually boxed and shrink-wrapped A firm bubble wrap has been used to protect the sides of the package that are in contact with the edges. Installation was fairly simple, and a few steps in the window & tab manager were all that was needed The door grade is low It seals the edges perfectly, even on below-grade ledges, with Great Stuff Even during the coldest of nights we have had so far, I haven't noticed any drafts coming through our windows. I am not sure about the windows, but they seem to be well-maintained It was done. To indicate whether the door is locked or open, there are two distinct positions on the handle. The locking connection is created by only about 1/4" of the handle tip sliding behind the upper ridge of the window frame when the handle is locked. Security at the windows earns a B+ grade from me. I feel like if I put my foot in the window hard enough, I might be able to punch it in, but of course, I'm not going to test that out, and if someone is trying that hard, this window should hold strong for anyone not just trying to smash it. There is only one real downside I can think of, and it does not seem like many others have the same problem, and that is I can't seem to open my windows more than 20 degrees anymore There have been other reviews that state the window will remain fixed in whatever position you open it to, but I have not experienced that myself. I tend to tilt my ones after about 20 degrees or so, and then they sort of fall down to fully open. My computer has installed the windows plumbing, so I am unsure of what is causing this behavior.

It's not a big deal, and if I needed more windows in the future I would still purchase them. Probably the only thing I would do differently next time is install them with the top angled back from plumb to counteract the force of gravity that pulls the window up and out in a certain spot. The overall experience with this purchase was good. This continues to be five stars for me. . . rounding up from four.

It gets the job done for a reasonable price

Even though it seems silly to buy basement windows on Amazon, other reviewers convinced me to buy them. It's early 1900s brick over stone foundation, so there are plenty of imperfections throughout, but these sills did a great job in upgrading the old rotting sills that came with my It is quite simple to install, just slide it in a rough opening, make your own frame, or you can do what I did and forgo the wood entirely, mount it to a pressure treated top plate, and then mortar into place. Shipping was very fast but unfortunately I received the wrong window from Amazon, so I had to send that back, but a new one will be delivered by tomorrow.

It was great getting new basement windows for a fair price
5/5

I replaced two original basement windows with these from Park Ridge. There was one pane in the old windows and the frames were rusted / rotted out. It is amazing how much difference there is! It was easy to install the new vinyl windows, and I am extremely satisfied with how they turned out. The new ones look good and provide much more security than the old ones. I was extremely pleased with the packaging and how quickly they arrived. Those who are interested can see a few pictures I have included. Update for Tuesday, February 23, 2018 A Park Ridge window is installed in my window well. I used to have a leaky floor in my basement when we had heavy rainstorms, caused by my old, rusted out steel windows. I would have to wet vac the mess every time it occurred because it takes more than an hour. After the Park Ridge Windows were installed, my basement floor has remained dry as a bone, even during some heavy downpours. I could not be happier with my.

This window was of better quality and less expensive than big box stores
5/5

Aside from having to cut the plastic mounting flange to fit my application, it was excellent. The best packaging I had ever seen protected the product well during shipping, and I was worried about damage. Although not made clear from the description, the bottom portion of the window portion rises about 4 inches from the bottom of the frame, so that it is horizontal to the ground when fully open. Small clips are located on the side of the window, which makes it possible to remove the glass pane. Features a screen that can be removed. Due to the drain hole on the exterior of the frame, it can't be mounted face down with the opening down. Thank you for your help.

This is a great window for the price

The windows are two of these that I bought to replace two 60-year-old ones. Taking down the old windows was the most challenging part of the project. I found the installation to be fairly straightforward once the opening had been prepared and cleaned. The 6 screws were used to remove the window from the frame (3 on each side of the track), then we cut off the plastic flanges we didn't need, and then we screwed the top of the window to the frame. we made sure that 1 3" Tapcon screw was sufficient to hold them in place on each side. Windows and then Word were used to create the document For the cracks on the door, spray foam was used to fill them and silicone was applied to seal them My experience installing and using the Windows operating system has been good.

I bought these because Home Depot didn't have them on the shelf for the size I needed in my unfinished basement, and they were marked down so much cheaper than Since I didn't have any experience installing Windows (hardly any experience in handy work) and only watched a few YouTube videos, I had to purchase a video tutorial
5/5

My final purchase and installation of four of these was successful This set of mugs are very high quality, they're easy to install (as far as I'm concerned), and they're There is no complaint that can be made about these, and I would purchase more of them if I needed another one.

This product has great quality for its price point

It opens These windows were of excellent quality and I was very pleased with the result. I was pleased with the price and it worked perfectly for my installation. When this window is fully opened, it opens from the inside, and then the bottom slides up a little more than two inches to fully open I cut off the nailing fin during installation in a cinderblock frame in a basement window well which came with this window.
