I suppose so, but it's simple to take it down. This lock is a complete waste of time and money because it does not do its job. This lock is not one I would recommend for outside use.

I wasn't sure about this, but I decided to give it a shot. It's super simple to put together, and it's very sturdy. I like how it requires a key to open and close. I'd buy more if I needed them, and I'd suggest it to anyone. It's on our sliding glass door, and I use it. Just put it in the track (after rotating the key to get the right width), tighten it up, and there you have it! There will be no more sneaking out for you, adolescent! ) It also gives me a sense of security. The door had a lift lock, but I was never completely at ease with it. Just in case, there was always a bar in the track. The bar is no longer required. This tiny lock is just right!.
This tiny device is incredible! After my toddler figured out how to unlock and open the sliding glass door, I bought several items to keep him from doing so. This is by far the best; I yanked on it with all my might but it wouldn't budge. I put it to the test by trying to open the door while it was still in place, and I'm confident that the door would break before this thing even moved.
They figured out how to silence our alarm system so I didn't hear them open the sliding door to go on adventures (5 and 6). We started putting this on the door as soon as we got it, and they stopped disappearing! I put it in and took the 'key' to bed with me so they couldn't get it, and that thing is so tight they couldn't move it! Finally, I was able to get some sleep knowing that my little Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer couldn't get out of the house, which made me wish my front door was a slider so I could child-proof it as well!.
The windows are locked and they are unable to open them. This is incredible. My two little inquisitive boys had recently discovered and opened their bedroom windows. I bought these and something else on the same day that I had a mini heart attack. Because they worked so well, I ended up using them exclusively. Thank you very much. I'm a little more at ease now. For now.
This may work better if you have older sliding windows; however, it may not work as well with newer windows. I'll enlist the assistance of others to complete this task. I wasn't impressed at all. I would recommend the cheaper ones if you can find them and you have newer windows.
It works! It isn't flashy, but it does the job. Make sure you don't overtighten because this thing is incredibly strong, which is exactly what you want it to be! I strongly advise against using a metal bar against the sliding door or, even worse, relying solely on the sliding door's stock safety latches.
Allows for the intake of fresh air while maintaining a sense of safety.
It works perfectly. It's a breeze to put together and extremely durable. I needed something to keep my child from going out, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money trying to set it up. In addition, the price is excellent. I'm definitely going to order a second one for the other sliding glass door.
