Do you know if this chimney cap is made with 304 stainless steel?

Although it appears to be stainless steel, we are not sure what type it is. Stainless steel annealed to an austenitic state since it is non-ferrous A metallic color. If it is 301, 304, 305, 309, 310, or 316, it is one of these. I'd say 304 would be about right if I had to guess. Even after a few years, it has not rusted after living 1500 miles from the ocean.

There are 14x14 od tiles in my flue system. Are you sure it will fit based on the outside diameter?

Due to its small size, it will be too small for this OD. As such, we would need to make a chimney cap that fits your chimney.

The chiney cap is exceptionally high quality

It is quite a high-quality item, and will be no problem to install. The sides of the flue had to be sealed using caulking since it was oblong. As a chimney cap, it looks great and should last a long time. It is heavy and should last for a long time. It's a high quality cap you should consider if you're looking for one of those. This is a unit that no one will be let down by.

The product is well made and the installation takes about five I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was I had to drill and tap holes for the hardware after the construction, but it is a great product

Despite that, the cap is in no way to blame. Consequently, I had not enough pipe sticking out from the top of my chimney for it to take a good bite from.
