There's good news for you, Carey! Ours has not yet been put on due to the weather, so I measured the diameter lengthwise and it is 24 in. I believe it should fit well since it is 5" wide. There is a 13" and an inside width of Under 14" at 78", not bad! There are about one inch of holes on the inside. At the top of the ledge, there is a There are two sides that bear the weight that are 5" wide. What do you think about it? I think it will be the best fit for you. As long as it's not damaged, you can simply return it to your local Home Depot, as I did with the first item I ordered. I wish you all the best!
You're probably right!
Since the cap is made of stainless steel, it does not need to be painted. Apparently they also sell a painted black version of the cut-to-size sheet steel version.
I've had it put on several years now but, if I remember correctly, it goes on over the brick chimney liner that sticks up about 4 or 5" and more or less clamps onto that with screw tighteners. It has never been a problem for me. The previous owners of this house should have contacted me

Although the product description states that this chimney cap will fit over two 13 x 9 flues that are 3 inches apart, we did not find that it matched up to both the length and the During the installation, the metal lips of the cap sat at the top edge of the flue edges without blocking the flow of air. For the 13 inch width, the lips of the cap were perfectly aligned with the edges of flues without blocking This was a good length, but not great. It was 21 inches total total flue length that I needed. The intended length was 21 inches (plus 9 inches plus 3 inches in gap) but the actual length was 24 inches, leaving a gap of an inch and a half on either side. Birds and bats could fit in there so I cut some sheet metal to block them. Visit my photo gallery to see what I've been up to You can clearly see the interior lip of the cap which rests on top of the flues and adds stability to the I did not notice these lips / edges in the product description when I ordered the product in September.
I was able to fit the 14x24 chimney cap perfectly on my chimney. There was enough travel for the anchor screws to take up the gap for my 13x22-inch anchor The double flue is 1/2 the width of the chimney. Has a fairly heavy gauge of stainless steel and appears to be durable. This cap has held up to moderately high winds, so it looks as though the mounting is securely in place.
Beautiful, but the woodpeckers are using it as a . I love it but the woodpeckers are using it as a drum in an attempt to find a mate by sending out "love messages"! What a bunch of crazy.
There were some minor damages on the chimney, but they were not noticeable. The work is good and the quality is excellent.
The product is very well made, easy to install, and it looks great It is possible to find chimney tiles of varying sizes.
As it turns out, the holes are not arranged the same way as the picture, the actual product has a greater separation between the holes. It doesn't make much of a difference, however. Simple to attach and solid, the cap is a good buy.
Very quick shipping, product was a bit flimsy, but still worked well.
My chimney was the perfect size for it.
