Compared to the previously discussed wire, the 3/8" spacing is 3/8" thick, 16 gauge, PVC coated.
There is no reason for this it is just a method of keeping animals from entering the attic.

In general, you will need 200 feet of Peak Protector to do both sides of a vent that is 100 feet long. It would take 100 feet of ducting to do each side of a vent that is 50 feet long. The endings of the ridge vents must also be taken into account when measuring. It might be of use to you. Your help is much appreciated!
