Questions & Answers

How much spacing do the wires leave between them? Could somebody explain how one half inch works?

Compared to the previously discussed wire, the 3/8" spacing is 3/8" thick, 16 gauge, PVC coated.

What are the chances this will keep wasps away?

There is no reason for this it is just a method of keeping animals from entering the attic.

Can you tell me what gauge the wire mesh is ?

Besides being coated with PVC, it is made of welded wire of 16 gauge. We will be happy to help you with any other questions you have. It's been a pleasure interacting with you, Kevin

In other words, will the 100ft sections cover a total of 100ft of venting on both sides of the vent?

In general, you will need 200 feet of Peak Protector to do both sides of a vent that is 100 feet long. It would take 100 feet of ducting to do each side of a vent that is 50 feet long. The endings of the ridge vents must also be taken into account when measuring. It might be of use to you. Your help is much appreciated!

Animals will not be able to get into your attic with this permanent solution
5/5

It was very easy to install this product on my ridge vent, as it was not hard at all to do. Having an adequate supply of screws in the kit allowed all the work to be completed without the need to buy additional screw sets.
