As long as it is installed properly, I see no reason why it wouldn't be able to be used on a house. I truly hope this prevents someone else from suffering from the same frustration I have experienced. The product, as a matter of fact, is something I would buy again, but I would make sure it is sealed properly.
This unit was a few bucks more than what I would have spent cutting holes in my roof and installing something that is poorly made. I have found it to be a pretty basic item and so far, there have been no problems. As I had chosen an exhaust hood to go with my covered deck, I needed something to fit 8" ductwork.
