Tru Pac X has made its mark on the world's vertical surfaces and is your go-to solution for dependable vertical carving mixes. TPX is the best choice for everything from amusement parks like Disney World and Universal Studios to a countertop in your next-door neighbor's kitchen.

Unlike other vertical mixes, which are unreliable in thin applications (under 1/2 inch), Tru Pac X is engineered to meet that challenge. On a properly prepared surface, the usable application thickness can range from less than 1/4 inch (see image) to 5 inches. You can now have a single mix that can handle everything from heavy stone carving to plaster-coat treatments with ease.

You can make a 100-pound batch of mortar mix for the same price or less by combining one Tru-Pac X decorative mortar conversion kit with one 80-pound bag of Type S mortar mix (available at most home improvement stores). (Not Type S Portland Cement or Type S Portland Cement.)

When dry, the color fades to a realistic buff gray. The scratch coat adheres tenaciously to the standard mortar. At a rate of one gallon per square foot, the coverage is about 12 square feet. 5 inches.

Is the finished concrete waterproof once it has been properly mixed? As if I were going to use this to line the sides and bottom of a small pond?

No, this isn't a water-resistant blend. After the material has been cured, you should waterproof it again.

Could I apply this to shower walls and seal them with a roller over Duraroc? Also, which primer would you suggest?

I am. It's clear what you're referring to when you say you're going to use a roller. Yes, you can apply effects using a texture roller. You should start with a scratch coat, which you can do with Structure Coat. This product can then be used as a decorative finish coat.
