Although I'm not sure if this product can be painted, it does have a putty-like viscosity that won't run out of vertical joints. To keep the joint or crack from looking messy, you'll need to tool it a little. SIKA has a website where you can learn more about the application.
I'm not sure, but it's possible. Look for this product's data sheets on the SIKA WEBSITE, or you can call them - NUMBER 201 IN NEW JERSEY - 933- 8800

Because you're dealing with movement, I'd let this stuff cure for the full 7 days if at all possible. It's difficult to give you a precise answer because humidity and temperature are both factors. You'll have to contend with the possibility of movement, as well as the humidity at the time of application and during the cure, as well as the temperature. It cures much faster in the summer and much slower in the winter where I live near El Paso, Texas. I'd give it the full seven days just to be safe. I've had it stay sticky or tacky for longer than the tube stated. It's a good product, and I hope it'll be of use to you!

I'm trying to finish my driveway, and now you're telling me I've reached my quota for this purchase. This isn't something I'm saving for a rainy day. It isn't the same as using toilet paper. I'm just trying to get my driveway finished!.
This stuff is fantastic if you have a crack in the concrete between your walls and your floor. Wear rubber gloves and blow them up to the size of giant blue turkeys before using them to apply sealant. The final piece of advice is purely optional.
One expansion joint requires one 1 fl oz tube. Make sure you have enough backer rod and that the crack is sufficiently filled so that you don't need to use a lot of sealant. ADDED 10/15/20 I went to HD to get more SIKA after filling two more cracks in the Driveway with backer rod. It was as if they were two different people. HD's SIKA was smoother and thinner, and it "self-corrected" itself. level" is done very well. It was the exact same type and brand. As a result, I've come to the conclusion that either this source is old product that has been stored in a warehouse with no climate control - or that this source is new product that has been stored in a warehouse with no climate control - SIKA, on the other hand, has a wide range of quality. In both cases, the rating has been reduced to one star. The HD Sika demanded a one-time payment of one hundred dollars. Two cracks with 1/2 tube vs. one crack with four tubes from here. Part of it was due to my lack of experience with backer rod. It's ideal if it tightly seals around the edges! In the two additional cracks, a 1" diameter was required. It's also difficult to come by 1". There is only one source of information available.
I used it to fill cracks in my driveway and garage. Fills cracks thoroughly and adheres to the crack's sides. It's dense but pliable, so it expands and contracts as you move. You can use an angle grinder to grind the crack flush with the surrounding surfaces if you overfill it to allow for shrinkage and settling.
Unfortunately, I received a tube that stiffened, necessitating both hands squeezing to apply a smooth bead. That being said, it's excellent material that will last a long time. A couple of tips: try to get a good bead on the first pass so you don't have to touch it up a second time; it's extremely difficult to get it smooth and where you want it whether you use your glove finger or a putty knife. It gets progressively worse the more you touch it. Second, the color is a light grey that goes with nothing except freshly laid concrete. Simply sprinkle a generous amount of play sand on the wet bead to match the color of everything else. It has no effect on the setting or the durability of the product.
Getting sealant out of the tube is extremely difficult. br>Once out, the sealant was perfect. br>However, the difficulty in getting the sealant out of the tube rendered it useless for the job. Regardless of tip size, two hands were required at all times. br>Temp inside the house was 70 degrees, so this was not an issue. br>After two tubes, I gave up. br>I'm returning four or six of the tubes that were ordered. br>Amazon was informed over the phone that only four of the original order of six tubes had been returned. The Amazon representative assured me that this would not be a problem, and that Amazon would accept the refund for the original six orders because the product did not perform as advertised. br>2 of the original order's items were partially used and could not be returned due to the possibility of leakage. br>On the 7th of January, I received an email from Amazon inquiring about the two tubes that were missing. br>I am dissatisfied.
The product does exactly what it claims to do - larger cracks and gaps should be filled in with caulk. It has a light grey color to it. However, it's extremely difficult (even with practice) to keep the stuff cleanly contained within the crack, and it's extremely sticky and difficult to remove - As a result, the crack is effectively caulked, but it does not always have a clean, straight line because some of the material inevitably escapes the crack.
Because it works so well for that, I knew it would be ideal for ponds. It's been on the driveway for 5 years and has effectively stopped water from getting in between the slabs and causing them to spread.
