That is precisely why I purchased it. It's fantastic!
I'm not sure how much magnesium is in this, but it's not garden lime; it's masonry lime for mixing with cement.
Lime is only one component of a mortar's composition. When you mix the sand and portland together to make the mortar, it will turn gray. br>Color can be added to the mortar to change the color. It should, however, be a masonry-specific hue.
"Special" isn't what Type S stands for. "Type S is almost never recommended for use on historic masonry because of its excessive compressive strength, which is thought to be potentially damaging to historic brick and stone. For historic brick and stone mortar, only types N and O are suitable.

It turned out fantastically, and I'll post more photos once I've finished a few more tasks. Although we wanted some brick to show through, it would be relatively simple to paint your house completely white.
It was a huge success. For this project, we used half a bag.
I made lime wash paint out of it. The 50-pound bag yields approximately 30 gallons of paint, which can be stored indefinitely in a 32-gallon trash can with a lid. We painted all of the masonry walls in our cellar, and we're thinking about doing the exterior brick walls in the back of the house, as well as possibly some plaster walls inside, because it looks great and keeps everything looking tidy. It is also beneficial to your bricks. It provides them with the opportunity to take a deep breath. Use a large soft brush to apply the product.
Big box stores sell paste! This 50-pound bag of lime came in handy! We tried it on our fireplace first, and it turned out fantastic! Then we decided to try it out on the front of our house, which took only two days to finish! We are very pleased with it and encourage others to give it a try. We only used half a bag for the fireplace and the front of our house! We have enough left over to paint our backyard cinder block wall!br>br>When opening the bag and mixing the product, be very careful. I did some research and read the bag, and it states that breathing the powder can cause cancer and irritate the skin and eyes, so DEFINITELY wear a proper respirator, goggles, and gloves.
It was fantastic! The only drawback was the amount of time it took to arrive.
The order has been put on hold. After waiting and missing numerous opportunities for the project to be completed, I am now out of my order.
It's a good construction lime with a fine powder, but it's not suitable for making LimeSulfur. Magnesium content is too high.
This method worked wonders for lime washing a dingy brick. It was only one coat that did the trick.
