This type of finish is not suitable for use on finished surfaces. Moreover, it would not serve as a suitable material for painting. If you are covering with tiles or stones, we only recommend using this. My sincere thanks go out to you
In that case, you should use the unmodified thinset to install tile over Kerdi To install ditra over a plywood substrate, you can use modified thinset.
It hasn't worked for me yet.
Using the Milwaukee 1/2" drill to mix it up very fast, I was never able to find any problems while using the thinset for Travertine tiles. Mixing instructions are a guide but I mix it a touch thin and add more water. In the step of setting the tiles, I butter the backs first with a very thin layer of butter so that 100% of the tiles are As a side note, I do not do this for a living, but have not had a problem with tiles It is not possible to take one off using just your fingers once I've mounted it. I wet the back of the tiles with water first and then wipe them clean with a sponge to also ensure good adhesion. Before applying thinset, I always place a layer of moisture on the thinset. I never apply thinset with a very dry consistency.

modified This thinset has been modified. What was I thinking finding unmodified thinset could be so hard? Throughout these past few months I have learned quite a bit about thinset, its applications, and which type you should and should not It seems unmodified thinset dries through the evaporative process, while laytex modified thinset requires air flow to completely set. It is appropriate where you are fusing impervious materials such as porcelain tile to Wedi or Kerdi board. It's not easy to find these bags to complete my 4' X 6' shower project with a bench. I needed four of the 50 pound bags to complete the project. The large tile stores in bigger nearby cities didn't carry it either. The Home Depot sells a generic brand of thinset, but it is impossible to find Schluter thinset anywhere else besides online. My recommendation for this product is that it did not cause us any problems as everything cured quite nicely and appears to be very secure before Don't miss out on the good stuff by not getting it.

Our entire Kerdi budget just went up to $1600. Installation of our Kerdi system was completed by professionals. A leak test on the unit did not uncover any problems, but caused water damage to the ceiling below the shower. We have yet to use the shower, and we will be out $4k for the installation, $1500 for tiles, $2000 for glass, and $1600 for Kerdi. In this system, foam is used as the material and paper is used as the membrane. A view of the shower pan from below shows that it leaks on both sides. Anybody who is considering this system should not do so. 1) kerdi is not worth your money!.

The advertised product was delivered. The local price was 15 dollars less than I could have gotten it. Despite its weight and high cost, I understand it's heavy and complicated.

My attention was focused on following the directions. Though I was concerned about the texture, I thought I would put up a couple of tiles and then see how it goes. That never happened, no matter how hard we tried. Ardex 77 made this possible with no effort on my part. I will be going back to it in the future.

It is the Schluter brand thinset I bought for using on Kerdi board. Despite the availability of a variety of unmodified thinsets on the market, I decided it would be best to use the Schluter brand. There is something good about the product. The bags were heavy, which may have contributed to their long delivery time, but I was still disappointed with how long it took.

This stuff has been used several times for me. This tile works well as both a floor tile and wall tile. The best strategy for you would be to use the plug-in A corded drill is needed for mixing. I had a hard time getting enough torque from my battery-operated cordless drill.

Then I ordered two 50lb bags of thinset that I liquid stabilized and four sheets of The 4 sheets of Ditra I received, however, neither of the 2 boxes of mortar have been delivered. Considering the shipping label states 46 pounds, even if they did send 1 of my 2 bags, shouldn't the total package weight be at least 50 pounds? Time, like money, is valuable, and there's nothing I can do about it. This is awful.

I used it for a shower enclosure. Schluter products are excellent! I used all of them and am delighted with them. This thinset is top of the line. Costs a lot, but I feel it is worth it. The thinset mortar I used for this job had to be substituted for the original because I ran out of it. There was a night and day difference between the two products! It was great to have direct shipping to my home!.
