The amount of water to use for a specific application is not something I have a lot of knowledge about since I am not a professional tiler. In the instructions, it says you can't add more water after the initial mix and slake times, so you have to toss that batch and start over. Don't give me a range where I have to guess how much Ditra I need for laying on a wood subfloor, just tell me the exact amount I need. If you can give me a different amount of water I need to attach Ditra to a wall, I'd appreciate it. Similarly, I need the exact amount of water I should use for laying large format tiles on Ditra, and a different number for laying them on a wall (since the wall must be thicker to hold the tiles while they cure. It's not cheap to buy over Amazon (mainly because they're baking in the shipping costs to entice you to buy over Amazon). I really liked how the all set turned out to be so The Kerdi membrane went on perfectly to the drywall around my shower and I had no problems at all with it. In this case, I mixed half the bag at a time with 3 and 1/4 quarts of water because a whole bag calls for 6 1/2 quarts of water. In my first batch, I found it could have been a little thinner to hang the Kerdi membrane, so I used 3 1/2 quarts and it worked like a charm! Normally I buy everything on Amazon, but I found it for half the price something else. I will be getting more tiles for the tiles and I buy everything on Amazon normally.
The adhesive I used was this one to adhere 110 square feet of kerdi membrane to drywall in my remodel of a bathroom and shower. The mixing instructions should be followed exactly when you are mixing it with a mixer. I think German efficiency is the best. I had a little anxiety about how to do it right, but YouTube's instructional videos were extremely helpful. I mixed the product with the highest amount of water and it came out perfectly. Very easy to work with, and I was working on it for a couple of hours. Very happy with the outcome. I will return to this brand for my tile work in the future.
I really liked it. Compared with the Schluter Modified skinny set, the Schluter Modified thin set seems stickier and dries harder. As part of the Schluter Kerdi shower system, I used this product. During installation of large porcelain tiles 12x24 in the bathroom, I used both thin set mortar and thick set mortar. There is no doubt that Schluters thin set mortar is of high quality, but it costs double the amount of the custom premium thin set mortar, and I needed to use it in conjunction with the Schluter Kerdi.

I love it! I do not have any more to add. The only reason it is expensive is because you don't want a quality product. For walls, it holds very well when you use a thin layer of thinset behind tile. For floor tile, it holds very well too. This book is well worth the price.
