These were purchased to replace new hall runners that did not lay flat after purchase. I was able to easily put them on. At the time we bought them, I did not realize they should also stick to the floor. Although we have removed the backing yet, we want to take some time to let the runners smooth out a bit more before sticking them directly to the floor. The corners are kept down well and a real reduction in tripping hazards has been accomplished by these.

I like it better than tape, heck (I'm sorry). (If you want rugs to stay in place, buy rugs that are 1+ inch and cost 3,000 dollars. ) If you don't believe 3,000 dollars is a reasonable option, buy The product is excellent. I am very satisfied with it.

I no longer have to move the rug around constantly like I used to. I found the installation process to be very easy. Despite not having removed them yet, I suspect that they will be quite easy to peel off. There is no way to know if they will maintain their sticky for a long period of time/when I will need to purchase.

They did not stick to the underside of the carpet, which I found very disappointing. One company sent me the white ones and another sent me black ones. It was easier to stick to the black ones. The white ones made a person trip less likely since they kept the carpet down not so with the black The carpet wasn't held down and we would trip and fall because our feet would get tangled under the carpet. We wanted them to prevent falls in the first place.

I had problems getting it to stick to my hardwood kitchen floors

It is not the best product for long runners. The kitchen is a high traffic area, so we bought two rugs since these rugs would be perfect to keep the rugs adhered to the floor so they would not slide. Despite the fact that they worked for 48 hours, they soon started collecting dust and dog hair underneath and were rendered totally useless when the rugs began to come loose from the strips and we were left with dirty strips attached to the wood and rugs rolled up and wrinkled. I would recommend another product if you want to use it on a large area.

I love these little buggers! An item we purchased for a rug runner caused problems for us. As we walked, we kept catching our feet on the edge of the table.
