It was critical to me that the fencing be at least 3' tall with 1/8"-sized holes. After all, that baby rattlesnake could have gotten through a 1/4" hole, so no thanks. 1/8" is the minimum requirement. With that in mind, These are very small holes. We couldn't use our zip ties, so we used bailing / rebar wire instead, which worked perfectly! When we expand the kennel, we'll most likely order more.
This hardware cloth was probably half the price (at $85 in 2021) of local stores, measures 36" by 50 feet (at least in our case), and has a grid with a consistent pattern. The pattern shifts a little bit here and there, but that's to be expected with a "cloth. " " The gird's appearance is consistent. There was one small area of ripped grid, but I unwrapped it myself. It was fantastic how well everything was packed. We used this to reinforce a small cast iron pagoda for additional screening in the first project. br>br>For the second project, we used this to reinforce a small cast iron pagoda for additional screening. We were able to fold a 70" - by 36" - by 36" by 36" by 36" by 36" by 36" by 36" (every 15 minutes, cut a 10" section) 5"), then rerolled to fit into the frame as a box. After that, all you need are a few wires to keep the bottom in place. The mesh wire screen is quite nice, but thick gloves are recommended. Depending on which way you slice it - can be very abrasive We also appreciated the lack of sharp edges. br>br>Five out of five stars. and 44' to spare for future projects.
It's pretty tough and can withstand a lot of abuse. There isn't much to see in terms of construction materials. Simple things like the wire wrap, strapping, and protective end caps on the roll to prevent damage in shipping impressed me!.
We were told to keep forest critters (especially snakes) out of our backyard. It performs admirably. It was spray painted black to match the black metal fencing that my husband had installed. It's not visible, but it's extremely effective. It allows us to keep the dog on our side of the fence. I've seen squirrels examine the 150 feet of fencing for a way in. Then you should quit. It's nice to have the option of letting the dog out in the backyard. She won't come across any snakes in the swampy forest behind our house.
Not for my windows with old aluminum frames and rubber seals, so I returned it as was my intention. It would be great for wood framed screens or to staple onto the border of a screen door as long as you add a trim piece of wood. Excellent product of excellent quality. It could also be used to keep varmits out of attic spaces on roof soffits.
To avoid snagging and scratching the environment, the edges are nicely rolled. Galvanized (looks electroplated) and may be a little thin, similar to beehive bottom screen mesh, and the 27 wire is a little thin compared to the Ace Hardware product I last used. Longevity - It's impossible to say; only time will tell. Overall, this appears to be a high-quality product, and I am hopeful that it will meet my expectations.
We used this wire inside a 16 x 20 picture frame to hang pictures with tiny clothespins, as seen on Pinterest; it worked perfectly and was simple to cut to the correct size and staple inside the frame. We're making more of the frames because they turned out so well.
This is what I used it for around the bottom of mobile home bricks to keep critters out, and it worked perfectly. Installing and working with it is a breeze.
