I'd like to make kitchen cabinet doors with a simple white wood border and wire. Is that possible?

This material is lightweight and easy to cut and work with. In cabinet doors, the mesh could be almost invisible due to the thin black coating. While I can't guarantee you'll enjoy it. It's a distinct possibility at a reasonable cost. If you didn't like the prototype, please let us know. You could simply use the remaining portion to encircle small plants or the bottom portion of a regular fence to keep rabbits out of your garden. It's definitely worth a go.

The vinyl layer isn't particularly thick

I didn't measure the wire, but it'seems' to be smaller than 16 gauge. This 24" wide version is just a lot lighter weight (13-pounds) than the previous one. The 36" wide other brand I bought has a 45 pound delivery weight, whereas this one has a 14 pound delivery weight. This one has a much more durable dipped vinyl coating than the lightweight coating on this 24" wide brand; it was sturdy enough for my purposes, but I would have ordered the heavier brand if I had seen the shipping weight before ordering it; keep an eye on the shipping weight to avoid being surprised. Both had a 16 Ga. rating.
