Mice, as well as everything else, cannot get into our chicken coop with this. A AA battery should be able to go through the mesh, but any larger will fail. This material must weigh over a hundred pounds. The 50 foot roll is over 100 pounds I believe. As opposed to working with a picture frame, it was rather awkward at first to work with
The welds are galvanized after they are welded.
There is no interweaving of the wires. In general, galvanizing appears to be OK, but it's too early to shed any light on the process. It seemed like the rows did not always finish evenly across the width of the wire, be it natural or trimmed. However, for the price, it was
A lawn would not be safe from gophers if mesh is buried beneath. It seems moles are the cause of lawn problems in areas like Johnston and Des Moines. Neither have seen gophers in their lawns here in Iowa. In the same vein, I doubt that buried mesh would keep them out. My guess is that it's a good thing. I am sorry to be of no assistance.

This hardware cloth is marginally galvanized and is likely to rust sooner rather than later. Hardware cloth is quite different from fabric, as anyone who has seen some will know. Compared to the real deal, it does not compare. Buy whatever is on Amazon at the time. If quality does not matter to you, just pick whatever is the cheapest at the moment. Therefore, why are so many good reviews coming in? You are offered a coupon if you write an online (naturally good) review with this product. It is pretty sneaky to solicit reviews like this and that results in excessively positive reviews.
In order to fully enclose my large duck pen with hardware cloth, I built a large Duck Pen for my ducks. I was looking for a tough wire to protect my ducks from predators in the rural area and this stuff is great to work with, just like chicken wire. I live in a rural area, and this wire is not like chicken wire. If you have plans to build a chicken coop or duck pen, this is a good resource to research. Here are a couple of rolls I bought!.
You can see to the left that I'm holding a piece of the real thing. Galvanized wire is nearly twice as thick as the wire it covers. The piece on the left as well has been outdoors for ten On the other hand, the other section the scrap comes from has been kept moist for nearly 10 years in a lettuce table's bottom. It appears that the coating on the new wire is thinner, however the coating appears It may have been a bit hasty on my part when I first complained. Despite leaving the roll of wire in the rain for several days, no signs of rust have appeared. My pepper plants also have a cage I made. I received an email shortly after my initial impression, giving me the option to keep the original wire while the seller replaces it with a new one. Even though that was a very generous gesture, I cannot accept it because that would not be fair. Later on I may have misjudged the product, but I appreciate your kindness nonetheless. Resolve the misunderstanding as well as any confusion about the.
I did not have any problems with predators getting into it. It does not rust. My run is made from treated wood and wire mesh, and I made a tunnel out of the wire mesh as well. So that my chickens can go from their coop to their run safely, I have created a run. This wire was also used to cover the ground around the cage and run, and I followed it up with a layer of pine bark mulch. I find it best to put the curved side of the mesh up and then stand on it to flatten it so predators cannot dig in from the outside. The mesh is a little hard to handle as it is stiff, but it is what makes it tough enough to keep predators away. What a great job I did with my project. The thickness of the mesh needs to be four feet wide, which I was unable to find nearby. It was a lot safer to make a tunnel rather than build a wooden.
The price is incredible compared to other websites that charge $200 plus fees You'll notice some gaps in the hardware cloth (H), but be aware that there are some broken wires. When I cut 15' off the piece, I found several fragments that I had to discard (or save for a project with Thus, cutting should be done with care. You should be prepared to encounter weak points if you need the entire length.
A few of the rolls were good, but the others definitely did not measure up. It was a HORRIBLY bad roll on one roll especially! We unwrapped it and it was rusted and corroded, and the welds floated apart as we unrolled it and whenever we tried to use strips, rendering them The weather will be a big test for it. Despite losing some money on some of the ones that weren't as advertised, I'm still happy to give two stars to the ones that seemed to be what they advertised, galvanized wire. They definitely delivered what they promised. I don't think it's very fair to get a "galvanized" roll only to have it break and rust straight out of its wrapper. If we need wire again, I will probably go with one of the other companies that we used for our project and spend a few extra dollars.
I received it within a few days of the description and exactly how it was described. The chicken run was enclosed by this fence. I have found it to be very useful so far. When I checked on the chickens a few weeks ago, they were making a lot of noise so I went out to see what was going on and noticed 2 foxes actively trying As you can see, I scared them away. It is always the same. The foxes will keep coming back to attack my chickens, so I was worried they would get through the fence and kill them. The last time I saw them, they did not damage the fence. It's been about two weeks since I saw them. A 2 feet wide strip of this fencing is also placed around the perimeter of the run and the chicken coop to prevent them from digging It has been a pleasure working with this product thus far!.
In contrast to chicken wire, which I recently discovered the hard way is intended only to keep your chickens in your coop (raccoons, weasels, hawks), this actually keeps animals out of my chicken coop.
It has been a pleasant surprise to find that this is rigid enough to keep the door of my chicken coop in a perfect square without any This simple rectangle is supported at its edges by 2x4s, and the mesh keeps the structure from bending.
