Questions & Answers

Is it possible to install these directly on a wood deck?

I'm not sure what the question is asking. What makes you want to put them on a deck in the first place? They're supposed to keep the deck support legs in place, right? There are no pre-drilled bolt or screw holes in them. Drilling into the plastic could cause it to split.

Is it possible to secure these to a concrete surface? I'm erecting a shed on a concrete pad and want to ensure that the foundations don't shift. ?

Although there are no pre-drilled holes in these, they can be secured to concrete. holes that have been drilled The TuffBlocks are pretty tough, and I think they'd hold up to a concrete screw's pressure. lag. Because the Tuff Blocks are unlikely to have any sheer, I'd recommend using a Stainless Steel lag bolt and Stainless washer to prevent rust over the course of the installation. Even galvanized steel will rust over time if exposed to the elements. Wishing you the best of luck with your endeavor.

What's the highest point of these?

The 4x4 section in the middle has been raised by about an inch.

I'm thinking of using these for a small covered "lean-to." to "Can these hold the height of a 4x4 post?" ?

The square that the 4x4 is supposed to go in isn't strong enough to keep the post in place. Because the upright post must be supported by lateral posts when you let go of it, it will tilt. If you're building on your own, this can be challenging! If your question is about the weight of your project, I believe you can find that information on the TuffBlock specifications page.

I used these instead of the 50lb concrete blocks sold at Home Depot, Lowes, and other home improvement stores for my small deck project because they are much lighter and easier to move around and position
5/5

One word of caution: due to the splayed foot, you will not be able to get your 4x4 post into a tight corner.

Simple to work with! Strong! This is fantastic
5/5

My small back yard is full of rocks and tree roots, which were ideal for constructing my floating deck, which measures 10 x 10 feet. Simply level your deck boards and begin screwing them in place.

FAST, LIGHT, and simple to operate! This is fantastic! I was able to obtain the entire set of eight
5/5

AND I WASN'T DISAPPOINTED AT ALL! With a variety of Dimensional Lumber sizes, they can be used in a variety of applications. Used as a POST support OR a pier for horizontal joist or rim joist framing. You don't want to be lugging around super heavy Concrete Pier Blocks and metal Connectors. TRY THESE IF YOU LIKE IT! TUFFBLOCKS are a lot of fun. I'm working on a project in a remote part of Alaska, where weight is crucial for getting in by boat or plane. This is a divine gift! Tim, thank you very much. SE AK.

Concrete piers are not the only option
5/5

I had to repair a section of a water-damaged floor. In the crawl space, a truss was built as a solution. These blocks were a great alternative to trying to drag traditional concrete piers to the needed location because the crawl space is about 3 feet high (with a lot of ducts and pipes in the way) and the truss location was away from the access hatch.

WOW! What do you think of these? What happened to these after all these years of using heavy concrete pier blocks? These are, of course, the meows of the cats! These were used for a small porch addition and are extremely easy to use, move around, and hold 4x4s in place precisely
5/5

Back pain is no longer an issue!.

What a fantastic product; I used them on a deck I recently built and they far exceeded my expectations
5/5

They're incredibly simple to work with and extremely reliable. In my opinion, it is far superior to the older concrete type.

This product worked well for supporting the foundation of my shed, and it was much easier to use than heavy cement piers
4/5

All 8 of them (corners and joists) were able to support the foundation. I only had it up for a few weeks, so I can't comment on how long it lasted or how the seasons affected it. It would have received five stars if the price had been lower.

Work is excellent
5/5

These are a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to the large foundation blocks you're used to seeing. This is an advantage because they are relatively light and easy to work with. It costs about the same. Plan ahead because shipping takes a long time. Otherwise, you'll be transporting heavy concrete blocks for at least a week.
