Questions & Answers

Is this a good material to use for apron straps in the kitchen, or is it too thick? Thanks?

I believe it is determined by the apron's style. It's sufficiently flexible, but an apron doesn't require much strength, and you might be able to get away with a narrower strap, such as 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch. It shouldn't be too thick, but it could be too wide, depending on your preferences.

Is anyone aware if this cotton fabric shrinks when wet? Thank you very much. ?

I purchased a ten-yard roll of the "natural" shade. I made the decision to prepare ahead of time. It needs to be shrunk before it can be used for sewing. I soaked it in water for a few minutes and squeezed out any remaining sizing. To get the most shrinkage, I dried it in the dryer. When it was completely dry, I measured it and it was exactly 9 yards long. As a result, it was a shrinkage of 2010% percentage percentage percentage percentage percentage percent I didn't measure it before washing it, but I'm guessing it's 10 yards because it was sold that way.

Is there a way to make this work?

This product has been washed numerous times. I used it to make swim bag handles. It's always a win-win situation. There hasn't been any evidence of shrinkage.

For my running shorts, I need new belting that ties. Is this something that will help you with that?

Although webbing can be tied, it is not the best material for super-strong super-strong super-strong super-strong super-strong super-strong super-strong super-strong super knots that are firm However, it should be enough to keep shorts in place.

Cotton webbing has sparked the most enthusiasm in me
4/5

Welp. If you're looking for high-quality cotton webbing, look no further. The webbing is thick and has a "soft" feel to it. ish" if that's what you're getting at- Unlike polypropylene webbing, it is pliable and does not have rough edges or sharp ends. If you need to make a shoulder strap out of it, it drapes/falls nicely without being floppy and is comfortable to carry. (However, I imagine it becomes softer and floppier with time. ) )br>br>This Halloween, I made a shoulder strap for my Star Wars: The Force Awakens Rey staff, and the webbing was a breeze to work with. Despite the fact that the staff weighed several pounds, I hot glued the webbing to itself and attached it to the staff with zip ties, and the hot glued areas held firmly. If you only need a quick bond, hot glue is perfect for this webbing. br>br>For a second project, I needed to unravel the ends to make several inches of "tassel" at the end of the webbing, and I discovered that unraveling it with the help of tweezers was fairly simple. In the photo, you can see how it appeared. It did, however, take some coaxing, so I doubt it would unravel on its own if the ends were frayed. You had to use a lot of force to get the threads out. br>br>The only thing I didn't like about it was having to handle the roll. I wish they'd include a small plastic clip or a pin that acts as an "end keeper. " Because as soon as you start unwinding some of the webbing from the roll, it all wants to unroll itself and becomes unmanageable. Considering that I debated whether to get this cotton webbing or the much cheaper polypropylene webbing, I'm glad I chose cotton. It's more straightforward and more pleasant to hold.

I'm only going to buy webbing from this company from now on! Country Brook Designs is the real deal when it comes to interior design
5/5

Unbeatable products at an unbeatable price. I sew my own grocery bags (as well as bags for friends, family, and so on), and this cotton webbing is by far the nicest I've used. With two layers of cotton duck and no heavy-duty backing, it glides right through my machine. needle on a mission Neither the warp nor the weft threads move or stretch. It's a huge relief to find something that actually WORKS, looks good, and lasts. Yes, cotton will stretch a little with use, but it simply softens over time, and my bags are still holding up beautifully several months later. Country Brook Designs, thank you for your help!.

Excellent craftsmanship
5/5

To add handles to an unfinished tote bag, I bought this cotton webbing material. It was the ideal solution for this project! It's soft to the touch but strong and densely woven, and it's surprisingly simple to sew. I cut two long strips, one for each long handle that would go over my shoulder, and then ran the ends down the outsides of the bag, meeting at the bottom seam. As a result, I had to sew four times up and down each side, as well as across the bottom, through the webbing. My regular sewing machine stitched through the webbing smoothly and without skipping or bunching. The webbing is extremely versatile and simple to handle and maneuver. The 1" width is ideal for adding handles or straps to a project; I am very pleased with this product and will purchase it in other colors in the future. It's great for sewing projects, in my opinion.

Great product, great service, and a heavy-duty product! I'm giving this the top rating because the webbing was very nice and the quality was excellent
5/5

I hadn't read the description carefully and was looking for something similar to thin twill tape. It became necessary for me to return. This stuff is very heavy and well made, and if that is what you are looking for, I would highly recommend it if that is what you are looking for. It wasn't perfect, but it arrived quickly, and they were friendly when I returned it. There are also a lot of colors!.

Handles for totes are of excellent quality
5/5

This webbing was purchased for our Kids Ministry's Bible covers. I had been making straps out of canvas fabric, which was very time consuming, and the quality was really good, especially for the price. This webbing is very thick and sews up quickly. I'd suggest using it for book covers or tote handles. It was also easy to clean.

Is it no longer heavy duty? I buy this on a regular basis and have never had a problem with the quality because it is thick and heavy duty as advertised
3/5

I ordered it again this time, and it was noticeably thinner and weaker. I wish I had a picture to compare them to, but they do appear to be identical, albeit not manufactured in the same way. If this continues, I'm considering returning it and looking for a different product because it is clearly not heavy duty as advertised.
