Unfortunately, because Amazon fulfilled the order, this was not the seller's fault. Although the original package was in poor condition (see previous review), the seller was understanding of my concerns. Thank you for putting your customers' needs first. I will buy from you again. 12 May 2020: br>br> I cannot comment on the product itself, but the packaging in which it arrived is less than satisfactory. Keep in mind that this is a product that will filter my drinking water. . . The boxes had a plastic band around them and what appeared to be water damage and mold growth on the cardboard, which I have photographed. I'm returning this product because I don't know if it's water damage or what kind of water damage it is, despite the fact that the product itself may be excellent and was purchased based on positive reviews. The packaging, on the other hand, has made me second-guess myself. I'm not sure if I'll keep this product or return it. I understand that the filter is wrapped in heat shrink plastic inside the box, but I don't want to risk it because I don't know what type of water damage there was or if it made its way into the filter. The amazon box it came in was fine, and it contained other items, but none of them looked like this - as if it had been harmed by water This leads me to believe that this is how the product appeared when it was placed in a box to be shipped to me. Is this for real?.

The filters are incredible! They are easy to store in the refrigerator and are very effective. I had previously tried another brand of filter and was dissatisfied with the taste of the water; however, the ice pure filter has restored the taste of the water. br>I'm very happy with the filters and plan to keep buying them.

This filter was an exact match for my GE refrigerator. The water has not been tested for contaminants, but it tastes great. In the water, there is no taste of minerals or metals. This filter appears to function in the same way as an OEM filter. To clear any loose charcoal from the filter, run 6 to 8 cups of water through it before drinking or using it in a coffee maker, etc. The water comes out with a few fine charcoal bits at first, but it clears up quickly.

I ordered it before, but I'm not sure if it's Long Island water, and the filters are only good for four months. I also use the water on the refrigerator on a regular basis.

While I was away, my husband completed the installation. The Activated Carbon Block Filter inside has NSF 42/53 APPROVAL, according to the Amazon page for this product. One of the primary reasons I bought this off-the-shelf item was because of this. However, when I opened the instructions packet, under the heading Performance Data Sheet, it stated: "The concentration of the indicated substances in water entering the system was reduced to less than or equal to the permissible limit for water exiting the system, as specified in NSF/ANSI standard 42. " Nothing at all to do with the number 53. Nothing else was noted when I checked the actual filter, the box, and the rest of the instructions. I guess we'll have to go back to buying generic filters- EVEN IF THEY ARE PRICED HIGHER!!.
