The size of the print is 8" x 8". In 1997, I spent extra money on one to fit my mobile home hoods. This square has thin edges, unlike what can be found these days in the stores. It measures 8x8 inches.

The grease filter I'm replacing my old and yucky one comes in all kinds of different sizes and shapes in the market. Replaced it long ago and should have done so much sooner. There is a square area of 8 by 8 inches too just like the original! Above my stove is the new filter. I took a photo of it after I put it in place and compared it with the old one. It is shown side by side in the first photo.
There was a point where my Ventline range hood filter had been cleaned so often that it started to have more holes than it ought to, and I wasn't sure if it was still filtering anything. Despite visiting three local hardware stores, I could not find what I needed. On Amazon, it took me less than 10 minutes to find it. The company had the size I needed, so I was so happy. That made my old one seem inadequate. Fits perfectly and has proven to me that my old one couldn't do what it should. My only complaint is that it took almost two weeks for the item to reach me, with only four of those days actually spent in the post.
A standard size filter I could have purchased from Lowe's or Home Depot would have been a great option, but it wasn't available. There was a time that I thought that I would have to wash all the grease off of my existing filter above my stove because I ran out of luch. The website told me to search on Amazon for this, which I did, and found it there.
