Sorry, it was a replacement part in a rented range hood that I didn't notice. Work is still in progress.

The fan motors appear to have a 4-inch diameter. With regular use, a year's worth of life can be expected. This motor was purchased to replace the original motor in my range hood, and I'm purchasing it again after 4 years. It's the perfect fit, and it's a breeze to put together. You can replace this yourself if you know how to use a wrench and plug in a cord. The only difficult part is removing the small clip from the fan blade. With a small screwdriver, it's easy enough to do, but don't lose the clip when it pops off! br>br>Because we cook a lot, we use our range hood exhaust fan a lot. If you only cook once in a while, this motor should last a long time, but there are a few things you should know about extending the motor's life. Cleaning the filter on a regular basis is the first step. Trying to pull or push air through a restricted passageway is the fastest way to burn out a fan motor. The dishwasher can be used to clean the filters. It's also a good idea to clean the fan blades every now and then. The fan blades can become clogged with greasy gunk, especially if you do a lot of stovetop cooking. It not only reduces airflow through the fan blades over time, but it also weighs them down, making the motor work harder. Cleaning the fan blades a couple of times a year should extend the life of the fan motor. Unfortunately, I only realized this after I had completely destroyed this motor. Finally, if the motor isn't lasting as long as you'd like, the ductwork may not be suitable for this range hood. If the range hood vents to the outside via the roof or the wall, the airflow through the pipes should be full. width and unobstructed sight lines all the way out We had to re-do everything. Because the original vent pipes were too narrow, some of the original ductwork was re-used. The motor wore out quickly as a result of the restricted airflow. I wouldn't have paid for this, but I had the skills and tools to do it myself. Replacing the fan motor every few years will almost certainly be less expensive than re-wiring the entire system. ductwork in the works.
While the product is functional and meets the needs of the application, it is not long-lasting as a stove hood vent fan. It would be beneficial to those who do not cook frequently or who do not use the fan for other purposes such as exhausting hobby odors. In short, it isn't very durable, and it gradually slows down until it eventually stops turning. Grease or oxidized oils, I believe, cause it to become clogged. In my mind, this occurs far too frequently. I don't keep track of when the fan motor is replaced, but I'm going to start putting the changed date on the motor itself so I can see how long they last. I'm on my third motor, and the current one won't be long before it fails.
I did some research online and discovered that others had had similar experiences with "the fan not working one day. " "And then I came across this product; the replacement motor wasn't cheap, but it was cheaper than replacing the entire hood, so I took a chance and bought it. " The fan is quite heavy for such a small size. It was a breeze to swap this out for the old fan. (How to replace the fan is demonstrated in a YouTube video. ) I pressed the switch after replacing the motor, and the fan, thankfully, spun quickly.
In comparison to the original motor's worn bearings, it's simple to install and quiet. Buying and installing a new vent hood is significantly more expensive.
So far, everything has gone well. For the past two weeks, I've been waiting for my handyman to repair our kitchen fan. Eventually, I made the decision to do it on my own. I learned how to do it by watching a YouTube video. The motor was ordered, and the installation took about an hour. We'll have to wait and see how long the new motor lasts.
I saved a lot of money by doing it myself in about 30 minutes.
It was easy to put together and only took a few minutes. They include the small retaining screws, which is a nice touch; so far, everything has gone smoothly.
After a few weeks, this item stopped working, so I returned it. I don't know if it was defective to begin with because it wasn't in the original box when I bought it. My refund has yet to arrive, but I returned it to UPS over two weeks ago, and they scanned the return label from my phone. Could you please explain why there is a delay?.
