Hello Judybr>This filter is not the right size for you; it measures 8-inches in diameter. 3/4 X 10- br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b
Charcoal, could you please excuse me? So, what exactly are you talking about? This is an AC filter with a metal frame that I believe is made of paper.
This is an out-of-production part number. The only information I can provide is the filter's dimensions.
Although there was no indication on the packaging that it was a Broan product, the quality and fit could not be better. This item will make you happy. I've already placed an order for more to be used in the future. Also, my local Lowe's didn't have this item, and the one they did have that would fit my Broan unit was $8 more and not as good.

Broan appears to have two identical-sized filters: B29 for ducted systems and 41F for non-ducted systems. ducted. They are the same size, but have different thicknesses and filtering levels. I'm guessing buyers would look for 41F for non-alcoholic beverages for obvious reasons. Since the item's description specifies it, it has been ducted. br>br>I've read a lot of theories about what the filter they got, which was thinner and more loose, was for. I'm not sure if it's a "knock-knock" situation. I'm not sure if it's "off" or not, but it'll be 41F with a 1/2-inch thickness, according to what I was told. One, on the other hand, was the thickness of two-thirds of the description. As you can see in the image (and as stated in the product description), it should be made of thick cloth. It would also like blue material on the other end, so it could filter as many as possible. The one I got was clearly not intended for non-commercial use. ducted.

Although it is not a Broan filter, it fits a Broan range hood and the paper slip (which serves as a manual) mentions Broan non-electric range hoods. range hood with ducting That said, I'm now suspicious of the returned filter, which was wrapped in plastic and clearly intended for ducted-air use. model. If you buy one of these, I recommend that you double-check the filter density. If there isn't any, a thick piece of cloth should be used instead. I doubt it's meant to be used for non-commercial purposes, much like the filter at the end. range hood with ducting Furthermore, the item you received did not include blue cloth. If you don't like the filter, you can ask for a refund or replacement because the photo in the description is clearly not what you're getting. br>br>Another thing I noticed from the proper filter is that it is intended to be used for up to 12 months, whereas the Broan customer support FAQ states that it can be used for up to 6 months. I'm not sure what caused the difference, but discoloration in filters is always a warning sign, so check one every month or so to see if it's worn down. br>br>Overall, don't go for the cheapest option; that's all I have to say on the subject.
Good filter replacementbr>The fitment is perfect, and the materials are also good; my old one was caked in grease and couldn't absorb any more. br>Some people wash this WHY? Because they're so cheap, replacing them every six or twelve months is a better option.
The cupboard directly above the filter exit would become filthy and sticky as well. I was about to place another order when I realized, after reading the reviews, that THIS FILTER WAS NOT THE RIGHT ONE. br>br>My old one was a lot thicker, fit in there a lot tighter, and had this thick woolly stuff on the other side of the slightly bowed filter. If your hood vents back into your kitchen, DO NOT BUY THIS. Grease and odor will be a problem for you. br>br>Buy the other one that everyone talks about, the one with the blue cloth material on the other side, the one with both charcoal and some kind of cloth material. This one allowed grease to accumulate in the fan and gears, necessitating the use of an industrial degreaser prior to the installation of the new filter.
I purchased a Broan range hood and configured it for ventless operation. The nonsense the fan spouts is retorted back at me. It didn't work because of the aluminum filter that came with it. This one has charcoal in it and actively filters smoke and cooking odors. It will need to be replaced every two years, but what am I going to do about it? Is it possible to relocate to a more pleasant environment? That's quite a haul.
Warning: this is a subpar product!! It just arrived, and I'm not going to unwrap it or return it because it's still wrapped in plastic. br>It's physically smaller than my current filter, with a thin black mesh inside and no thicker blue layer, so I don't think it'll filer as well. This product, which is still in the plastic, can be seen in photos held up to a light. The second and third photos are of my original (which is black and blue with very little light passing through it). I'm not sure how it could have received such a high rating for such a poor product, or how a company called "Industrial Filter Sales" could be selling something that won't filter anything at all.
As this is my first filter replacement, I can't really compare it to others. My range hood came with a thin, cheap metal filter that I washed frequently, but it was beginning to fall apart, so I ordered this filter because it fit and the price seemed reasonable. I didn't realize it was a charcoal filter or that it was slightly thicker until it arrived because the product description was so vague. While it may not be as efficient as higher-priced units, I believe it is a significant improvement over the thin original, so I will keep it. It fit perfectly in the opening and does not appear to obstruct air flow or make any annoying noises, so I guess only time will tell how well it filters the elements.
This replacement filter is more malleable, and it came bent in three sections right out of the box. I was able to bend them back easily, but they aren't perfectly straight; they are only close. Furthermore, it is thinner in thickness and has a cloth-like texture. a filter that covers one side of the mesh filter (which was not included in the original part).
Amazon, for example. Then I read a review by user Rian, who stated that he had a similar issue when purchasing a filter from shady sellers, but that Amazon provided him with a better product. The manufacturer of this filter should be Microtek, and it should have the blue poly filter with charcoal infused on the back that faces your hood's fan, rather than the cheaper black carbon filter that many of the posted knock offs have. IMO, it's worth the $3 extra to get the correct filter rather than a knock off.
