It's all right to use the hood insert. It's obnoxious and inconvenient to use. It has the potential to be more attractive. It gets three stars from me. However, the plastic light fittings, also known as light lenses, are of poor quality. It gets a minus one star from me. The plastic is of such poor quality that if I had known how bad it is, I would not have purchased this hood insert. The two small plastic clips that secure the lens to the unit's face over the light are very thin. Any pressure on the plastic snaps the clips, so they must be touched and a small amount of pressure applied to remove them from the grid in order to clean them and the grid that covers the bottom of the Hood Insert. Broan clearly does not conduct thorough research to ensure that the materials and plastics they use are actually functional. Broan charges $14 for a two-pack. Shipping is an additional 28 dollars. Every online review I've come across gives these plastic light lenses a maximum of one star. Many reviewers stated that they had attempted to replace them four or more times and that they had all failed. I'm going to try using epoxy to reattach the clip. Other adhesives will not adhere to this type of plastic. If the clip doesn't stick or breaks again, I'll try to glue the lens to the grill's outside. If this fails, I'll purchase a complete hood insert from a different manufacturer - Broan is not one of those people.
This results in a stunning range of products. hood. It was an excellent purchase. I also bought the Broan LB30 30-watt light bulb from Amazon, which was the cheapest. Inch Hood Liner – highly recommended for giving the unit a finished look, making it easier to clean, and protecting the surrounding wood surface. The installation instructions were a little confusing at first, but once we figured it out, it was a fairly straightforward process. It hasn't been long since I've had it, but it's been excellent so far. When compared to the micro/hood combo I previously had, the fan noise is negligible. I wish the lights were brighter, but I'm still using incandescent bulbs, which I should probably replace with LEDs. Switching the light and fan switches can be awkward. You'll have to contort yourself under the hood/avoid the stove flames (lol), but it'll be worth it for the *beauty* of a custom range. hood*.
I bought this unit (390) along with a matching hood for our new home two years ago. I can't comment on the ease or difficulty of the installation because it was completed by a professional. I can confidently state that the unit has performed admirably. LED bulbs were installed, and they are expected to last a long time. There is a lot of light. The fan is strong and effectively removes cooking odors from the kitchen. When the fan is turned up loudly, I've heard complaints. It's blowing loudly, but it's set to a high volume. At that volume, I was expecting it to make a ruckus. It doesn't bother me in the least. This is a unit that I would gladly purchase again.
I'm extremely pleased with the way it functions and appears. First and foremost, it is an excellent match for our decorative hood. Today I switched on the fan, and I really like that it has three speeds! I guess I've only ever seen two speeds, loud and loudest; the low speed on here is very quiet, and the third speed gets pretty loud, but it's still quieter than a lot of other fans. It does an excellent job of removing odors and steam. The fact that this hood has two lights is also a great feature; it's much easier to see what you're cooking when you have two lights instead of one. My old hoods didn't seem to light up enough to make a difference, so I didn't use the lights on a hood fan until now. br>This hood fan also appears to be easy to clean, has a nice appearance, and I am looking forward to having it in my home. I'll keep you updated as it's used more.
I just got it, and there are a few problems with it. I attempted to communicate with the Manufacturer's technical support. They don't want to help me, either. br>br>The construction quality is excellent. as is the case with many things. However, there is no reason why the installation hardware that should be included is not included, and they are attempting to save money. When the fan/motor is running at higher speeds, there is a vibration. br>They also decide to save money by not replacing the light bulbs. They were uninterested in assisting me, despite the fact that I had paid nearly $500 for the liner, blower, filter, and recirculation kit. br>It's sad to see how unconcerned some businesses are about their clients. br>I'm afraid I'm going to have to return this item.
Quite a few of these are built and installed by us. There have never been any complaints from customers. Except for one person who expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of bulbs. When considering the price, this unit performs admirably; it is among the best performers in the $200 price range. I installed $1,000 units that were incredibly noisy, and you raised your hand and said something along the lines of, "I guess you can feel more air flow now. " The lighting is adequate but not outstanding. They're simple to put together and include a recepacle plug. If you're doing a cutout, the dimensions are 10 1/4 X 19 1/2, but we've found that 10 3/8 X 19 5/8 works just as well. The LB36 liners also work well.
I did some in-depth research. I squinted at cabinet vent hoods until my eyes bled. The footprint was critical because I had to install it in a galley kitchen with a slim cabinet. I was hesitant to purchase this because it was by far the cheapest option I discovered. br>br>With the vent, I couldn't be more pleased. It was easy to install, has a custom look, and moves a lot of air.
Everything went smoothly until it was time to use it, so I'm extremely disappointed in this product. I bought the specific light bulbs (a pack of 4) for it and it was easy to install, looks great, and was a good price. When I switched on the fan, it worked flawlessly. When I turned on the lights, all I saw was darkness. I tried all four bulbs in the hopes of finding a defective one. It isn't a bad bulb; the hood's lighting simply does not function. I'm disappointed because it was the final step in completing a full kitchen remodel. Now I have to remove and replace the hood I bought, which is attached to and beneath a custom range hood. Anyone looking for a reliable range hood, fan, or light should avoid this faulty product.
