No, I haven't used it to cover 9" Zeyphyr hurricane fans that aren't filtered. I just took a picture of it, but it's difficult to tell if the hook or latch option added on allows the filter to slide and lock, but I'm confident it will.
A small number of Broan and Nautilus range hoods use the BP4. Three hooks secure the filter to the hood, one of which can be turned to remove it. It's a little less expensive than the GE model, and it's a little less rounded, but that's not a big deal. I'm pleased with my purchase, and it saved me the trouble of cleaning the heavily soiled original.
This was purchased to replace an older, denser cover. The benefit of this is that the cost is low enough that I could easily replace them rather than trying to keep and clean them for years.
Because other purchased items were also in the box, the filter rim was bent and out of shape in several places. The rim should have been flat when packaged. It arrived in perfect condition and without damage in the shipping box. For installation, we had to bend it back into shape. We were successful in making it as round and flat as possible. It's possible that you'll have to follow suit. If you take the time to bend the rim back to a round flat shape, it will work. br>br>2018 Update: The first one was purchased in December of 2013 and has performed admirably. It was past time for a replacement, so in March 2018, I purchased a second. It's all good. The rim was flat and unbent when it was delivered. Although the screen material is a little flimsy, it holds its shape. The dome was slightly crushed when it arrived, but it was fixed by pushing it outward in several places. I'm relieved to see that these are still available.
I found exactly what I was looking for. It's not as strong as the original, but it fits perfectly and gets the job done. If I ever need a replacement, I will not hesitate to buy this again.
What is the source of it? Anyway, after years of using a gas stove that necessitates the use of a range hood that necessitates the use of a filter, I've learned to stock up on these. After soaking the wire filters in soapy water to remove the grease, they fall apart. It's also a sloppy task. Every few months, I simply change them out.
When compared to the original, it arrived crushed and made of a flimsy mesh. I had to unfold it to get it to fit, but it did. I put it in and forgot about it; I'd never order this item again; instead, I'd look for a different product or brand, or I'd expect Crush on Arrival.
I would have preferred it to be more durable.
