Selected User Reviews For Broan BPS1FA30 Replacement Filters for QS1 and WS1 30” Range Hoods, Aluminum, 11.8" x 14.3" x 0.37" (L x W x H), 2-Pack
It is stated in the listing that this is a replacement filter for the QS1 range hood. "The original filter in the photo I provided is what it should look like with two small slots on one side. " The back of the filter is inserted against the spring metal in the back of the range hood, and the front of the filter with the slotted holes would be locked in place in the front on two nubs, one of which I included a photo of. Also, the filter BPS1FA30 is too small; it is 1/8" smaller in width and length.
A pack of filters contains two filters, one for each of the four seasons. for- one. The filters are thin and appear to be an exact replacement for the ones we replaced. They don't appear to be very durable, but they appear to be adequate as filters. The filters will last as long as they aren't moved. br>At that price, I expected them to be a lot more durable. It may come apart with a slight pull of the ends, but it's a filter that requires replacement. That is exactly what I intend to do.
It's the perfect fit for my Nutone Allure hood. br>The dimensions on the Amazon page did not match the packaging, which was an error. br>As shown on the package, the actual dimensions are:
11- 7/8 x 14- 3/8br>which corresponds to the actual measurements. br>It's also identical to my previous filter.
After attempting to degrease the filters on my Allure range hood for an hour, I decided to purchase these. These replacements are very close to the originals in terms of fit and finish. They're a little thinner and lighter than the original filters, and they flex a little more, but they'll do for now. A small gap exists that could be filled with tape. The airflow through the filters is good, so if you don't cook a lot of fried foods, these may be preferable; if you're going to grease up the joint, thicker filters may be preferable. In any case, it's a lot better than having clogged filters.
However, it fulfills its function. This fits right into the range hood opening, which I like. To get rid of accumulated grease, run it through the dishwasher every few months. The frame, on the other hand, is not very sturdy, and some parts of the screen aren't securely fastened to the frame. When you handle it, it feels shaky, but it works perfectly.
Following the advice of other reviewers, I chose the'sold by Amazon' option, despite the fact that it was not the cheapest, and the item arrived in perfect condition with no damage. NuTone Allure 30 in. is a perfect match. Range Hood is a type of barbecue grill. br>The price is significantly lower than what the HD is asking. I'd buy from them again if the need arose.
Filters from the original equipment manufacturer. They last a long time and are easy to clean in the dishwasher. Do not make the same mistake we did and wash them with vinegar. Aluminum foil blackens and dissolves quickly when exposed to vinegar. br> Those two were well into their twenties.
I used to buy replacement filters from Home Depot, but it was difficult to find ones that were in good condition. The aluminum filters are quite delicate, and the filter part can easily be torn if something hard hits or rubs against it. After getting tired of searching through a slew of filters and Home Depot, I decided to check Amazon. Fortunately, I did so a few years ago, and I've been buying from Amazon without issue since then.
