The unit wasn't installed until a few days after it was delivered, even though I ordered it on May 19. I took this picture on June 5th, and the torx screws into the main brackets have already rusted. If you watch the installation video on YouTube, you'll find installation to be straightforward, and it'd have been a fantastic 5 star upgrade, however, the rusting hardware that previous customers warned me about is very disappointing. As a result of not listening, I blame myself. The only thing that would make it more worthwhile is if they sent me SS torx screws. In any case, I shouldn't have to go get mine when it should be included. Here's an update A hardware store employee gave me four 3/4" #8 stainless steel pan head sheet metal screws that I replaced the four torx screws with. This product should not be used with the included torx screws. Buy your own screw that will not rust and if it does not, it should not be included. The included screws are not stainless steel.

We were looking at probably $150 to have a repairman come to fix our dishwasher when a very minor part broke, which by the way was caused by a poor design in the affected part. It was one of the small wheels on top of the rack which broke. After looking through Amazon, I found a repair kit which could be used to replace the entire assembly, so I ordered it and received it I don't know a lot about how to install parts, so I wasn't anticipating doing it myself. Once I took it out of the box and saw the instructions, I tempted to call a repair shop.
On the instruction sheet they wrote the address of a YouTube video, however. Upon finding the introductory video on YouTube, I realized that it was comprehensive An illustration of how to make the repair step by step. In spite of my limited ability, I had the repair done in 45 minutes or so.

Monkemon Tech's customer service is exceptional, which is why we are changing our review to five stars. As a result of our review, they reached out to us without us having to do anything. A new set of parts was shipped out promptly after the company apologized. The mechanics checked in with us to ensure that the new parts have arrived. The replacements came without a guarantee, and they have advised us to let them know if you have any problems with them. AN OLD SYMBOL This is junk. When we installed it, we thought it was great, but just 2 weeks later it broke. We initially thought the metal bracket and metal screws were an upgrade from the thin plastic piece (which finally broke after 4 years), but the screws are not long enough and the metal bracket is thin, so once the screws strip out they can't be replaced. There is a red circle in the picture with the stripped screw. You can see where the screw came out of the white plastic piece and now the rack is just dangling.

The headline pretty much sums it up. In about two years, the original plastic axles holding the roller wheels started to break. yesterday the first bolt fell out from the metal poles that hold the wheels on. It took 4 months for the bolts to rust. Not far behind them are the others. The top rack is clearly the weak link in otherwise decent system, but I'm not sure what to do at this point (not using it until I figure out what I have to do).

I discovered I had to watch more than one video to make it work. I don't do this sort of stuff - it's not in my wheelhouse It might be tough if they have YouTube videos out there, but what's the harm? Assuming that you've done similar work before, I would guess that you are familiar with the topic There won't be any problems for you. As this kit is designed to work in many different dishwasher models, the first video you see when searching for the part may not necessarily be the one for your machine. So, before you remove the rack, make sure not to damage the clips that hold it in place (or else you'll need another kit to fix the issue). As far as it was hard, I really had to take out the original dishwasher rack and bracket system from it. Then following that first installation video (with Steve on Parts Select), you should be able to install it All in all, it took about 30 minutes from start to finish, in addition to the time spent watching the 10 minute videos and making sure I didn't break my existing.

The installation only took about 25 minutes. Just got them in and installed them. For the left side, it will take 20 minutes for the right side, it will take 5 minutes (once you know how, it is not hard). There is only one way to assemble it, and while the instructions are somewhat unclear, it is possible to confirm the order you are going in. In order to install the 4 screws for the covers, you will need a torx bit or a screwdriver. My experience is that the adjusters are so much easier to adjust than the originals or replacement pieces I previously used. Two pieces of plastic have broken on the metal part of the wheels of the previous pieces, but the wheels are the right size. My expectations are that these replacements will last a long time.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube about installing the part number. If you search for the part number, you can learn how to do it. It appears that the metal part of the replacement part is stronger than the plastic one ) When we adjust the rack height, it is not the easiest thing to do, but the last time we did that, it didn't (b) We replaced the part ourselves and got the DW up and running! (c) We replaced the part ourselves and got the DW working again! It will cost you a lot less than to hire a repairman!.
