I am not sure why they should be stiff, the point of them is to be flexible. With mine, I have a dryer hooked up and it works perfectly.

Perfect for adding steam to a dryer as an extra line

As many other users seem to be finding long steel hoses necessary for the steam function of their dryers, I also discovered my standard 5ft hose to be far too short. The replacement is a good one. As the line was 10 feet long, there was plenty of slack, and I didn't need to worry about a distressingly taut dryer line. I found the gaskets to be fresh and supple, and the hangers were solid Both ends of the hose were tightened without a drip of leakage. It has been 5 hours since then. I will edit this if anything changes.

The measurement is more like 9 feet than 10 feet It was just unfortunate that there was no tub work

At first it appeared okay, but when I hooked it up, it fell apart. I believe it is not ten feet, it's just a little bit over nine There were six inches of clearance needed to make it work. The rest appeared to be all right. It is impossible for me to find out.

It is a good product, but it is MUCH TOO STIFF. As opposed to the stainless steel hoses, I expected something flexible. Great build. Worked like a charm. However, I am still in the market for a model that offers much more flexibility, preferably one around 15 feet long. A Python snake wrestling match might be a good fit for you if you don't mind wrestling with animals.

It was taped up inside the package once it was opened! There was a taped up package on the top of what was an open package

If it was new, it should not be an open package taped up! It has a few dents on it as well. I'll let u know how it turns out. I'm so mad!.
