We have the originals that came installed on our dishwasher. They were held on using small plastic "pegs". Over time, they came loose, and one day you'd find one melted under the heating element, only for the smell of burning plastic to be gone. Oh my gosh! They are the design that should have been used, I bought them — clearly the right one. The metal bearings and screws are the best! This has been a perfect replacement, I would say it only took me about 90 seconds to get rid of the crap original ones and replace them. Only complaint I have would be that the drawer does not seem to slide quite as easily as it did before, but I am sure this will get better as the drawer becomes more comfortable.

Replacement wheels have been ordered so many times for my dishwasher. Honestly, I don't remember how many there have been, but at least three. Due to the same reason, I had to order top rack slide attachments as well. This causes the plastic to become brittle and to break. Since two years ago, parts on the top rack have been made of metal, and they have lasted. It is great to finally be able to upgrade the bottom rack wheels and I won't have to replace them ever It was also a bargain because I got four of them for less than I was paying for two previously! Sears wanted $40 for a pair of the original wheels. It snaps in right away and is MUCH more robust. The stainless steel inserts replace the exact failure point of the originals, making them more durable. It would have been great if Kenmore / Whirlpool had made them the way they are now! There is no point in buying OEM versions that will continually fail. As a result, the problem is fixed.

I really like the wheels on this dish rack - they stay on and make it easy to move! It would have been better if Whirlpool had designed the originals in the fashion displayed here. Rather than searching for pegs or wheels that fall out of the dishwasher or roll around the kitchen, there's no need to do that. Mine have been in use for a week with at least two loads per day, and still look as new as if they were newly installed. Thank you very much! I updated the usage with daily updates I have been using these since September and they haven't failed me yet. There were no issues and they looked exactly how they did when I first set them up.
