It's a little tricky to replace, so take your time and be careful not to break any of the smaller pieces that you'll need to finish the job. To avoid breaking the clips, make sure you reinstall the basket properly. After slipping the back section into the tracks, make sure it slides backwards so the front clips are straight and secure. If you don't or if you force it, you'll be right back where you started! From our perspective, everything went smoothly, and we were able to replace both sides for a fraction of the cost Jenn- We were being charged by the air.
The cost is reasonable, and the set-up is straightforward. The score reflects the quality of the work. These aren't the same as the originals in terms of performance. They're too tight in the rack to slide around and allow the rack to adjust up and down. Force can still be used to adjust the glides, but you must hold the bracket while pulling to avoid bending them. I won't uninstall and return because we rarely adjust, and these are much less expensive than the factory originals. They are not, however, something I can recommend.
My dishwasher is a KitchenAid, and this is a great OEM replacement part at a fraction of the cost. Following a quick YouTube tutorial, I was able to quickly and easily install this piece.
I was debating whether or not to hire a handyman. It's a good thing I didn't. My dishwasher is from KitchenAid. This was exactly what I needed. It was also simple to set up! From start to finish, it took me under 30 minutes. I highly recommend this if you only need this section and not the others.
There are numerous videos available online that will demonstrate how to do so. Just about anyone could install or replace these with a little common sense. I couldn't believe how simple it was, especially considering the cost of the replacement part; kudos to those who make these appliance parts available, as well as YouTube content creators who show how we DIY'ers can do it. The part I'm describing is unquestionably superior to the original, and while only time will tell how long it will last, I have a feeling it will.
It was extremely difficult to set up. Do not be fooled by the listing. In my KitchenAid dishwasher, these are extremely difficult to install. The first pair of shoes were defective. They promised a video and included a link to it in the listing, but there isn't one.
There are no instructions, but an installation video can be found online, and the supplier is one I would recommend.
It worked great, but it was difficult to figure out how to remove the old parts, so I had to refer to a YouTube video for instructions.
