Does it count if I run on the Can I run on blacktop and snow at the same time?

For me, it's a no-go My legs felt like they were made of marbles after I ran on them.

Is there a Yaktrax model that is the most durable for everyday use, such as the regular, pro, and runner?

Running a 10 mile race has been a breeze with runner. I think they have worked well together. You should be able to rely on them for daily

When they are sized, how do they look?

As a result, I got a size larger than I normally wear. It will be easier to put them on the outer side of your shoes or boots that way.

Work boots can be worn with these?

We recommend you size up a size but Yaktrax can fit over work boots. This type is intended for winter athletic shoes, so we suggest going up a size. Please be kind to each other - *br> Support for Yaktrax on Amazon

It is really great for jogging, but don't expect to be able to keep up for ever
4/5

As a jogger in winter conditions, especially on icy roads/trails, I've worn yaktrax for years and they've never let me down- They must do so until they are. As a result of the rubber around the bottom, the product only lasts for a few months (I jog about 1 or 2 days a week and hike with boot chains otherwise). Eventually, the wires will uncoil, the rubber will wear, and the device will no longer work. Although I keep ordering a pair of these each season because they are the best for jogging and provide traction as well as flexibility.

You'll feel confident, no matter how it snows or ices! Being an avid runner from Michigan, I realized that I would need something that would enable me to remain upright if I wanted to continue training outdoors during the winter months
5/5

The first time I ran in these, I felt like I had instant confidence! I saw a woman wearing them at the winter race and went online to find out more. During my runs, I ran through ice, snow, and everything in between, and while it was more challenging on my legs because of the drag of the snow, I never felt threatened by it because I had my Yaktrax on! I could not have been happier with my purchase. They were easy to fit and fit true to size. They are rubbery and fit your shoes like a glove. Also, they are fastened with velcro. While I've run on them for some long distances without problems, I've never found out that they slip off. On top of that, I was able to run on concrete areas without feeling unstable or out of place. am not sure how well this will work, but it is Michigan, and there are going to be areas that were salted mixed with areas that weren't, so it must work somehow. I am very pleased with my Yaktrax and would recommend them for outdoor running and other activities in the winter.

A bit questionable in terms of durability, but good for traction
4/5

As I wanted more time to get used to them before writing my review, I waited a few months before posting. This winter has been mild so far, but I have worn my YakTrax on trail runs of 5 miles and lightly rolling hills about 7 or 8 times. It came as a bit of a surprise to me that a metal coil would get traction The "Run" model with spikes in front of me was the best choice for me. In addition, the YakTrax Run seems to have better reviews than any other model they have. In spite of coils in the rear half of my car, I have been pleasantly surprised with the traction. It has been a long time since I have fallen. The one I have never come off has never You can trust the size chart. A number of people are buying the next size up, based on what I have read. This would be an error on my part. The running shoes I wear are a men's size 10, thick soled, and the YakTrax I wear are medium. Although they are hard to stretch to fit over my shoes, these are comfortable and remain in place when worn. The fit of the belt can be adjusted with the straps. The durability of my materials is of primary concern to me. Early in my run, I noticed that the orange plastic pieces that hold the spikes were worn down. A few of the little pegs on the top of the shoe (against the sole) have broken off, and there are numerous chips in some of them. The gravel in some of the trails I run is hard on the plastic, so where the snow is sparse, the gravel is probably harder. Winters like these aren't likely to last longer than one. You can buy replacement spike plates on Amazon. This winter, I think I'll be buying a new set. Buying a second pair will be less expensive than buying YakTrax again. I lower their rating for durability by one star because of fit and traction.

They aren't meant to run in, but I do use them for walking on snowy and icy surfaces.

Ensures reliable running of ice at high speeds
5/5

These shoes barely fit my size 13 running shoes, even though I purchased the Extra Large size. My running shoes were too big for them, so I had to give them a good tug. Thus, do like I did and buy at least one size larger than the chart suggests. In my review today, I will discuss a ten-mile run I completed the day before after there was a heavy snowfall the night before. It was mostly asphalt and concrete that I walked on during my run. In the beginning, I was unsure of what conditions would be, so I wore the YakTrax just to be sure I wouldn't slip if I hit any icy patches. In my old age, I can no longer take a fall, and I don't want to hurt My main goal is to run happy and confident at all times, even on ice. They did a great job with this. They did not interfere with my running gate while I was wearing them. My attention was captivated by the gear after the first few minutes and I became oblivious to it. My run was run on bare concrete and asphalt for the majority of the distance since the sun had cleaned up most of the snow before it had been packed down by people. My little spikes got a real workout, so I really pushed them. It would appear that the overlays on YakTrax The toe strap had to be secured to the velcro strap before the shoe could turn on. The carbide steel spikes show few signs of wear after ten miles of running on hard surfaces. If the conditions had been the opposite, and I had run on 90% ice and 10% hard surface, I would not have seen a trace of wear whatsoever on the spikes. However, I do not typically strike my heels, so I am unaware of the wire coils on the rear. The next time I want to run in icy conditions and the YakTrax are in my bag, I look forward to going out in them again. The only drawback I saw was that they did not have a great deal of experience on ice. The first thing I noticed was my left little toe was rubbing against the inside of my Hoka AT Challenger 5s around nine miles into my run. Initially, I was worried that my shoes were too small, but given that I've been wearing them for more than a year, that makes no sense. As I realized I was wearing a YakTrax, I went to look for it. My shoe size 13 is a little tight even with the extra large. As a result, the pain went away when I took the YakTrax off. The next time I wear them, and I'm looking at a run longer than 8 miles, I will adjust the fit so that the soft sidewalls on the outside of my Hokas aren't impacted as much. Manufacturers should take note of the following recommendations A size XX Large would be appreciated. This would probably be enough for me in size 13, which would be TWO levels up compared to my current size. The second point is that the carbon steel spikes were stellar, and very little wear was evident In spite of this, one tiny spike smashed on its side within its plastic support base on the left Yaktrak. Despite mine not giving way, the plastic disc supporting the spike gave way, and the metal leant over by an angle. I weigh 195 pounds, so I probably gave that spike a lot of lateral force while running on raw concrete/asphalt. I'm not concerned at the moment because my slip capability is fine. Thus, I'd say it's been a positive experience overall.

an image posted by another reviewer which shows exactly how my traction cleats now look, but I decided to include another one as well. To be clear, I don't want anyone to think that the problem of the other reviewer was limited to that review There's no power. The two pairs I bought are the same. The first one is for me and the second one is It will be necessary to throw both pair away since I missed the return deadline. What a shame!.
