Writing a new sentence When I first heard you were going on a hike, I thought you were going to It should look just fine on them since I found out about the boots. I wear a size 8 shoe and have a small and it fits nicely (even though I wear running shoes, which have a lower profile than For two seasons (I am beginning my third season now), I have run with Nanospikes in heavily wooded areas, and on the ice on lakes in Minnesota (running on frozen lakes in Minnesota is a blast). They perform best on ice that is completely glazed over, and become less effective as the snow gets deeper. As pavement is abrasive, and rubber makes up a large part of the material, I strive to avoid it. As soon as I'm in the woods, I keep an eye out for the sticks that could poke me. My expectations of durability have thus far exceeded those of the product. The things I buy of this type tend to get shredded quickly (REI will allow returns if you do it within a reasonable period of time - you need to fulfill the return request before the item is shredded). Usually these types of batteries break down due to durability issues, but these were an anomaly in that they've lasted for a long
Wearing them over my road shoes makes sense to me since I think the flat bottoms will allow the spikes to contract even There was a chance that the nobby tread might not line up with the spikes and the shoes might no longer grip the ground. However, just today I ran five miles on a frozen icy dirt road in my trail shoes and they were perfectly fine. Although I have not tried the shoes on any single track trails yet, they were like running on dry dirt.
A wooden floor would definitely be damaged by these objects. I recommend wearing these only on carpets in your house if you plan on wearing them inside. The sound is not very loud on cement or paved streets, but it can be loud on asphalt or concrete You have to endure piercing or unbearable pain.
Christopher here. It is unfortunately not possible to replace the spikes As a result, the rubber holds them in place. Purchasing an additional pair is easy if we have them on hand! You are very kind to think of us! Wishing you a wonderful

You won't be able to live without them. We rarely feel any slipping or slipping on our driveway even if it is completely iced over. I have even run the snowblower over completely frozen ground without any issues. Getting on and off is usually easier than you might think. Even if you're sitting in the car, it only takes a few minutes. An odd feeling of tightness surrounds them. These sneakers are the right size, but I believe they were designed for running shoes, and I wear a thicker hiking sneaker. That said, I don't find them to be They are not great for trudging through deeper snow (where the spikes cannot cut through to the pavement to provide grip). They are great on ice and thin slush, but they do not work well for trudging through ice and slush.
It is best to wear Saucony or Euro 41 footwear in size 5 or 9. Since Saucony size changed a few years ago, I normally have to order a 9 now. We recommend a US 9 in boots or a Euro 42 in pants. Although my shoes are just a tad too loose on my running shoes for actual running, I ordered a medium according to the size recommendation. It was fine to walk. I ordered a pair of smalls as well. Runnin' shoes fit like a glove in the smalls. I kept the mediums for my boots, which are perfect for them. These boots are very comfortable to walk on and run in since they are not bulky on the bottom like many other ice cleats and It has a great bite though, with no slipping. Having lived in Minnesota for more than 30 years, it is the best I have found.
The shoes fit me as a size nine woman and I wore them with My shoes matched with the medium I ordered, but they were a little loose after I ordered the medium. Unfortunately, I waited too long to try them so I am unable to return them, but that is my own fault.
Regardless, I felt more secure wearing them during snowy/icy patches even with their slight looseness, so I highly recommend them.
already own the micro spikes for hiking and love them, so when I wanted to wear a pair when running on icy trails, this was a no-brainer. Today was my first time using them and I found them to be quite useful. The trail conditions were perfect for giving these a try given recent warm weather that was followed by rain and then dropping temperatures. On my run I ran over a mixture of frozen fields, gravel trails, dirt roads, and ice, but there were no clear spots. The nano spikes worked just as expected. There is no problem running through parts that would have been painful to walk through The only complaint I have is that the size recommended for my shoe size is just a little bit too large for running shoes. In order to get the right Kahtoola size, you have to know your hiking shoe size. The sneakers I wear.
There is a large island off the coast of There has been a revolution in dog walking with these. I live on a hilly dirt road that gets extremely slippy after the snow thaws in the daytime and re-freezes at night. The overnight temperatures drop below freezing. They make it possible for me to get down this hill safely, and allow me to confidently walk on the flat trail at the bottom of my street. My safety was the deciding factor when I purchased Nanospikes. I have a pair of Nanospikes and a pair of Yaktrax, which are both owned by my significant other. It is the Nanospikes that he prefers. I have a pair, and you do as well.
It will be my third winter using these spikes and I'm ready to find an alternative. The spikes work great on ice covered roads and sidewalks, but once 1/4" of snow is added to the mix they don't work as well. Furthermore, on pavement with a lot of very jagged ice (think of the same mix of ice from all the people walking on it all day), my feet tend to slip a lot because the spikes are unable to grab onto I don't experience heel slipping like my wife does, even though she has the brand with the coils. Similar to what others have mentioned, this deal breaker won't work for me. It puts a lot of pressure on my big toe when the front metal band is on my right foot. If you have running shoes on, they can actually be painful to use. This is enough reason for me to pass on them. My front toe cap keeps pressing down right on my toe no matter how much I try to reposition it. Taking a look at the design, the metal oval clips can be seen. Clips don't lie flat when they are rolled up. As a matter of fact, it is You can't do anything but frustrated with that metal piece that digs into your toe. Since I was a child, I have promised myself that I would replace them every year. Several things have changed this Kahtoola nanospikes have been retired!.
The cleats are among the few items I've purchased on Amazon that have affected my quality of life as much as they have. Since we don't want to go to the gym, my wife and I have continued walking outside during the winter months. There can be a wide variation between sidewalks based on how they have been shoveled and it can be hard to stay six feet away from other people walking their Our streets are filled with people, so we walk. Residential streets in our city are mainly covered with snow during the winter, so there is little ice on them. This is the perfect pair of cleats for it. The traction has been excellent since we got them in December. We've walked over 75 miles since getting them and feel very confident on our feet. In the last 2 1/2 months, maybe a couple of times, but not to the point where I was worried I might fall, my foot has fallen a little. Our aim, when we get to streets that are better plowed, is to target the snow on the sides These are the kinds of things we're confident about. Our son bought a pair of these for running. Initially they hurt his toe if he wore them inside a running shoe, but they haven't bothered him once he wears It gives him the same level of confidence running with them as it does walking with them. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to walk or run on snow. There are many people on the sidewalks or on the streets.
The trail I ran with my friend was very hilly and there was lots of ice. I was amazed with how well the traction systems dug into the ice. I did not slip or feel like I was slipping at all while running downhill on ice. It's easy to feel the spikes on the rubber bottom since it is very uniform. Due North Everyday Micro spikes are what I already owned, and I like them too, but I found that they were not suitable for running on trails with lots of ice. When you use NANOspikes, you can maintain a regular running stride and run.
