They measure approximately 7/8 inches in width on the outside. A 25/32"-wide slot is built into the inside of the lid. The hole is just big enough to accommodate the 3/4" straps. It would not be possible to fit a strap with a width of 1".
I believe that these will fit your Tubbs straps if they are 3/4" wide. Remember that the maximum part of the strap cannot be any wider than 3/4 inch in order for the clip to fit.
There is no 7" in them. It must be a typo. I found these to be the same size as the ones I had and they work just as
Clips like these are fairly generic in nature.

The snowshoes I have are the MSR Lightning Ascent snowshoes for women. The straps would constantly come out of the clips that came with the snowshoes, as others have said. These were more expensive so I bought more and put them on each strap in the opposite direction from I've been using this for several years and it always works. The price of the snowshoes suggests MSR should just include them from the beginning and save us all a lot of time!.
On snowshoe treks, additional clips can be added upside down to each strap to keep the grip tighter and prevent it from coming loose.
On my MSR Lightning Ascent snowshoes, I use these. It was actually as a backup for all the clips that were Now that it has double clipping, I am grateful on a daily basis, and in the event my primary clip fails I have a backup.
In the middle of a hike through the snow with my Denali's, I broke about 3 of the stock clips. I replaced them with these keepers. As soon as your binding straps got caught on terrain or branches, they would break. I have not had a failure with the new ones yet as they are a stronger design. This is the sole replacement for all the stock ones on my showshoes. The equipment is worth the price because you don't have to worry about breakdowns on the trails. I had no issues with the shipping process.
The straps on MSR lightning snowshoes, which bite into your foot, cause your legs to feel numb, must be tightened to ensure they don't come out when you step on them. The MSR straps stay in place if I use 2 strap keepers, meaning I don't have to overtighten them. In the original MSR snowshoe design, two clips were supposed to be included.
In the past, I would have used zip ties, but this is a much better solution. Isn't it possible they should just include the straps with it? This weekend I'll be headed out to the Cascades to try them.
I find this to be very useful.
My MSR snowshoes had two strap clips that were broken, so this was exactly what I needed. Although shipping was more expensive than I expected, at least I didn't need to purchase a large kit with parts I wasn't interested in.
