Is it possible for you to take the shield off the handle?

No, you won't be able to remove the shield. You wouldn't want to anyway, don't you? Without it, the wax dust will be much more dispersed than it would otherwise be. Good product that eliminates a lot of the work associated with using hand brushes.

Is there a list of what they should be used for and in what order it should be used? I've never done anything like this before. ?

For cleaning the base, use a bronze os. Hard wax is made of nylon, and polishing is done with horse hair. There are a plethora of ski tuning videos available on YouTube. It's the same as using hand brushes, but it's a lot more convenient.

Yes, first loosen the drill chuck, then remove the roto brush, and then replace it with a new one.

It's on par with the SWIX ROTOBRUSH in terms of quality

By making a couple of quick passes with the brushes, it saves the most time-consuming part of ski tuning. I always wanted my friend s Swix RotoBrush when I tuned my skis at his house, but couldn't bring my self to spend the $200 those cost. This one has 3% The swix version did a better job of removing the wax; these bristles are probably a little shorter. This one takes a couple of extra passes, but it beats hand brushing hands down. Now that I don't have to brush my skis as much, I'll wax them more.

The handle trembles

I was impressed by the nice case and the quality of the brushes for the price when I received the item, but my handle vibrates a lot because it doesn't spin true. The vibration isn't as bad with the slower speed required for the brass brush, but it's a problem with nylon and horsehair.

The plastic shield has a "minor issue. " This is a fantastic set of brushes, but the design would benefit from a clear shield rather than a colored one. It's a little harder to see your work while brushing the skis because of the colored shield. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth noting for the manufacturer. Is this a kit I'd consider purchasing again? Yes, absolutely! What are my only regrets? I could have saved money and time by buying this kit instead of buying hand brushes and prepping my skis by hand.

With 22 years of experience as a certified ski instructor, this is the one product that has significantly reduced my tuning time. I wax skis weekly and work with at least four pairs at a time, so this brush has significantly reduced my time. This is a fantastic brush that is very comparable to the more expensive alternatives.
