Three-piece alpine ski jaws vise set with two brake retainers, packaged in a colorful box.

Up to three skis can be clamped in the center clamp jaw. The width is 94 inches (100 millimeters), and the range is (1. 38inch-3. 35-100mm (94 inches) Two adjustable end supports with a height range of 5. 12 inch to 6 inch 69 inches (130 to 170 millimeters). Up to two vises can be clamped to workbenches or tables. The thickness is 36 inches (60 millimeters).

Rubber pads on the top of the jaws of the center clamp allow you to safely rest your bases while adjusting bindings or working on top sheets. These end supports also have separate clamps for securing the skis for work on the side edges.

For those who prefer different viewing angles when side edge tuning, the end supports can pivot up to 30 degrees (from the straight position) for multiple angle settings.

Questions & Answers

It says it will fit skis up to 110mm wide on Amazon, and one reviewer said his 115mm skis fit, but the box says it only fits skis up to 100mm?

I've used the vise set on skis that are 85 mm wide. I like using the vise set for base flattening, edge sharpening, and hot waxing because it works well. br>I'm guessing the difference between 100mm on the box and 110mm on the box is due to whether you clamp on the ski edge or the ski binding's narrowest part. I tighten my grip on the binding, which keeps the ski in place while allowing me full access to the edge.

Where the clamps will go on my table, it's 2 inches wide. Is there sufficient room for the clamps here?

Yes, I believe it will work on your table. The ski vise can clamp a maximum thickness of 6cm (2.33 inches) thick.

Is it possible to use Nordic Skis on it?

I've never tried it, but I see no reason why you shouldn't.

Clamps are a good set. The main issue is that the center clamp depth was not offset, which means that when you tighten it to clamp the bindings, it pulls the entire ski off center on the outside mounts. It's not a major issue, but it is inconvenient. The vertical clamp screws' clearance is extremely tight; they do clear, but when adjusted to do edge work, they are extremely close. However, they perform admirably, and I've had no trouble using them for both adults and children.

The best feature is the ability to adjust everything. Almost every direction can be adjusted, giving you easy access to your edges and p-holes. tex. Rubber pads on all surfaces to protect skis, boards, and the kitchen table from scratches!.

All of my skis fit in this bag. Holds the skis in place securely. I occasionally wish the entire set was a little taller, so I simply remove the heel of the binding (be sure to take a photo of your current settings before making any changes).
