I was using straps used to bundle my fishing poles before ordering these Fat Cookie straps, which worked but were getting stretched out, weren't as tough as these Fat Cookie straps, and didn't really secure everything together snugly. These straps are extra wide, just the right length, and extremely durable. Everything is neatly bundled and portable. I'll tell all of my friends and family about these straps.
I only used them once, so I can't comment on their durability; I used them to and from DIA flying out of Nashville for a week of skiing in Keystone, Colorado. Having only used them twice, I believe I can confidently predict that they will last for many more trips! br>br>These straps are significantly more expensive than the majority of straps available on Amazon. Who, on the other hand, doesn't want their ski straps to proudly proclaim "Fat Cookie"? After seeing mine, my brother and father both bought a pair, as theirs had begun to peel after only a few trips. As a result, the extra money spent on these is well spent. These come highly recommended by me! I'd also like to learn more about the company's other high-end/high-quality products.
These are overpriced, but I like how they have foam in the middle to keep your skis from rubbing. I've had skis that got sand in the seams and scratched each other. That is the only reason I purchased these (rather than using regular strap socks between the skis as I had previously). They may or may not fall apart; only time will tell.
However, they were designed for skis with a slimmer profile. While the old straps could 'hold' a pair together, I now ski the newer, wider skis. THESE FAT COOKIE STRAPS are ideal for today's all-mountain and powder skis because they're short. They're comfortable to wear, hold up well, and look great. Let's get this party started, shall we? scream Fat Cookie!.
These straps are exactly what they claim to be. They appear to be well-made, and they easily fit around my 133mm skis with plenty of room to spare. They'd probably be fine on skinnier skis, too. Plus, why wouldn't you want something on your skis that says "fat cookie"?.
These were designed to be used with powder (wider) skis rather than mine - I have to work hard to secure them around my waist, but they are thick and durable.
This strap is functional, and the padding on the inside is comfortable, but there is one major flaw. There isn't a tab of non-stick Velcro at the end of the Velcro. Because the straps are made of velcro, opening them is nearly impossible. To lift the Velcro's edge, you'll need to remove your gloves and dig your nails in hard. It's difficult to open this once it's on your skis because the Velcro is so strong.
It's a waste of money because it doesn't work. These straps don't wrap around my skis tightly enough, and they can't hold my ski poles. These straps are not as effective as inexpensive velcro straps.
