For the money, it's a decent helmet, but in extremely cold weather, you'll probably need to wear a balaclava. br>It should also fit snugly around the ears to prevent excessive airflow.
Selected User Reviews For Smith Youth Holt Jr. Snow Helmet
This helmet has a very long chin strap. The receiver portion of the clip is positioned directly beneath the chin. Because this part isn't adjustable, the accompanying strap cover (which isn't soft) is pushed to the side instead of cradling under the chin for comfort. My child's head measurement is 53cm, and this helmet fit him perfectly. Why, on the other hand, are the chin straps so long? The Smith Zoom Jr (which I bought for another child of similar size) has a soft, comfortable chin strap cover and a high-to-the-side clip near the ear. This is being returned to you.
The helmet is a big hit with my 7-year-old son. br>I purchased the medium youth size, which he will be able to wear for a long time because the internal size is easily adjustable.
It's stylish, it fits well, and it's easy to clean.
For our 11-year-old son, this is an excellent snowboarding helmet. It was a good fit.
I bought the exact (name/model) helmet for my son at a ski shop, so I ordered one for him. This appears to be an older model because it lacks the back adjustment wheel found on many children's bike and ski helmets. I returned it and went to a different ski shop to get the correct model.
There isn't much of a difference in size between adult and youth sizes, but there is a significant price difference. We simply measured our heads and the sizing was spot on. all forms of media.
Smith produces high-quality helmets for both children and adults.
