The helmets are reasonably priced, costing only a few dollars more than a weekly helmet rental. I bought three helmets, one of which had a very tight adjustment knob. I may send it back for a replacement because it is difficult to turn. I'm still on the fence. The helmets are also extremely comfortable to wear. I haven't put them to use yet, but they appear to be warm and well insulated. It appears that the sizing chart is accurate. I'd recommend sizing up if you're near the border. If you leave a review, they will give you a $10 gift card. This had no bearing on my comments, but it did prompt me to write a review.
My wife, who is an expert skier, received the helmet as a gift. br>We purchased helmets to set a good example for our children who are just learning to ski. br>She was hesitant to purchase a helmet because she assumed it would be uncomfortable, but she is thrilled with how well it fits and looks. We had previously measured her head, and the size chart was spot on. To make it more snug, there's an adjusting wheal in the back.
I was quite impressed when I used it on the slopes in various weather conditions. We had everything from slightly above freezing temperatures to subzero drops with wind gusts and two feet of falling powder, and the vents on this helmet were adjustable through it all. It was also surprisingly cozy. After three days of pounding Eldora's faces, I didn't have any helmet fatigue. br>br>Excellent purchase.
The color is beautiful, and the Boa system appears to be of high quality. However, the vent slide is a little stiff. Over the course of the season, we'll see if it loosens up. The chin strap had to be completely shortened so that the buckle could sit under the chin, which could be uncomfortable, which is why it received four stars. On the inside, a little padding is acceptable. The googles' strap is made of some kind of plastic; we'll see how well it holds up over the season. I really like how the ear muffs have a slight inward hold.
My 14-year-old daughter outgrew her previous helmet, so I bought this for her. It was a huge success. Thankfully, she didn't have to put it to the test, but she found it to be comfortable to wear on the slopes. Back at home, we've got it all set up for tornado season. Once again, I'm hoping we'll never have to put it to the test.
Even after a long day of winter activities, these helmets are well-made and comfortable. Small is a good fit for a ten-year-old girl. year- old. Most teenagers — and small adults — are likely to be in the medium size range. For adults of average size, large appears to be the best option. With a tightening on the back of the helmet, all sizes can be tightened or loosened. I am very pleased with my purchase.
This helmet has made a big impression on me. The satin grey color is very nice, and the straps are very comfortable and easily adjustable. The inner liner is slightly plush and soft. One of the main features I was looking for was a venting adjuster, which works well. The large size is a perfect fit. My head measures 23 inches in circumference. I can wear it with or without a beanie because of the adjustable fit. I believe the medium size would have worked well as well, but not with a hat. If I had to be picky, I would request a little more padding in the liner and on the chin strap. These aren't necessarily a problem, but they'd be nice to have. br>br>Overall, a fantastic product; I'll be ordering more for the rest of the family shortly.
The mechanism for adjusting the fit/tightness, on the other hand, is extremely inexpensive. Mine was damaged when it arrived, so I had to return it. Even if it wasn't defective when it arrived, the tightening mechanism is so poorly constructed that it poses a safety hazard and could become loose on your head with just a little pressure.
