GIRO I compared the Giro Ceva MIPS to the Smith Mirage because I was looking for a white, venting, adjustable MIPS helmet. They're almost identical. The Smith ear muffs are thicker and go all the way to my jaw bone (making them warmer), but the GIRO has better forehead padding and fits better. If weight is important to you, I weighed the two and found the Smith to be 5 oz lighter. My Smith googles go well with both of them. GIRo is a fantastic value for money. It would be a clear winner if the ear padding was improved.
The company refused to let me return the helmet within the time frame I was given. Even though I ordered the size recommended based on measurements, I sent them an email informing them that it was too large, and they never replied.
br>Nice padding and good ventilation. Although I haven't tested it out on the slopes yet, I expect it to be warm and comfortable.
Yes, I am aware. It's a snowboarding helmet, but I liked the shape and fit better, and I also bike in the winter, so the inside stuff and ear covers were extremely useful. MIPS is a bonus!.
It's a great fit, a great look, and it's well made. Color isn't quite as it appears in photos on the internet.
Because the tightening band isn't covered by padding, it's not very comfortable. In addition, my old helmet kept me much warmer. But that's fine in the summer.
I had to go back. On the front of the helmet, there were several black marks. It wasn't packaged like a new item.
Perfect helmet that I bought for two ladies and it worked perfectly for both of them.
