toy for the summer Replacement parts will not be available until spring 2019! Our kids and their friends had a great time with this towable. Big Mable has been with us for a year, and we've only taken it out a dozen times. br>br>However, a few weeks ago, the main tube on which people sit began to separate on the inside, and instead of remaining flat, it began to inflate like a balloon. We never used it improperly, overloaded it, or left it outside in inclement weather. It's only recently begun to balloon, rendering it useless. Replacement main tubes are available from the company that makes Big Mable, "Sportsstuff" (aka Airhead), but they will not be available until March or April of 2019! I'd like to keep it, but there's still a lot of summer left, and I'm in desperate need of something. We'll be done with Big Mable if I order a different towable for the summer.
This tube is extremely well-made, with a sturdy outside cover. Inflates and deflates quickly and easily. br>br>However, when deflating and folding back up, make sure the inside tube is aligned. I didn't, and getting the tube back inside, particularly the back, took a long time. However, there are hidden access zippers that can help. br>br>However, in terms of entertainment, we've found this tube to be a bit sterile. Sure, I can ride it across large wakes and get it to bounce a lot, but our kids prefer the flat tubes with no seats. They travel much faster across the wake, are much easier to throw, and are much easier to pull. br>br>This tube is quite large. We have a 19' with 6 cylinder I/O and it works fine, but I find that I need to pull this tube much faster to get things moving side-to-side. It can also trap water inside, adding to its weight. br>br>As a result, we have a much less expensive tube that we use the most, while the expensive tube just sits. This is a great tube to feel more secure if you have nervous children or adults. This is also fun if you don't mind speeding up the boat and going through some chop. I can fool people if I want to, but crashes aren't nearly as entertaining. br>br>Also, keep in mind that this thing takes up a LOT of space in the boat and is quite heavy when water gets trapped inside; we prefer to blow up our tubes before getting to the lake, so we have to tie this one down inside the boat with very little room to spare.

This thing is a lot of fun for everyone, and everyone at the lake is talking about it. It was so much fun that we even spun it around like a chariot. Because we're towing from a fishing boat, we spent the money on an inflatable ball to keep the line drag out of the water. So. Much. Fun.
Naturally, they declared Mable to be the most enjoyable activity they had ever experienced at our cottage. Over the weekend, the kids were dragged around for three days, and the float was simple to get in and out of the water in front of our cottage with two teenagers carrying it. We bought a 50-foot ski rope, but will upgrade to a 60-foot ski rope. FUN!.
