Questions & Answers
All of the major towable manufacturers use 170 pounds as the weight limit for one rider, so multiply 170 by the number of riders it's designed for and you'll get your weight limit. br>In the case of Big Mable, it's a 2-star rating. The weight limit is 340 lbs (170 x 2) due to the rider tube. br>It's important to note that if you have two riders weighing 200 pounds each, you're overloading this towable, which could cause damage to the harness or the tube's nylon cover, as well as injury if it fails while riding! Take a look at the photos on page 1 of this article. "Do Not Buy!" is the title of a five-star Amazon review. After a year, it falls apart! "to see what constant overloading does to a towable (they're lucky it didn't break down while being towed)!" br>To have two riders weighing 200 pounds each, you'd need a three-person vehicle. person capable of towing them without becoming overburdened (3 riders = 510lbs load). In the same way that you count your weight limit first and then your passenger capacity on a boat, you should count your weight limit first and then your passenger capacity second.
The tube is designed for two riders and will be more balanced with two, but it can also be used by one. I've used it with just one rider and had no problems; it's a very stable tube that the kids enjoy.
This product is jam-packed with action and will keep you laughing all day long thanks to the front and back tow points. 69 inches long by 66 inches wide.
It all depends on which jet ski you have. However, the majority of the time, the answer is yes. I have a 2006 Sea Doo and a 2011 Sea Doo, and they can both pull the tube with two 24-volt batteries. year- old passengers (each weighing around 160 pounds)

toy for the summer Replacement parts will not be available until spring 2019! Our kids and their friends had a great time with this towable. Big Mable has been with us for a year, and we've only taken it out a dozen times. br>br>However, a few weeks ago, the main tube on which people sit began to separate on the inside, and instead of remaining flat, it began to inflate like a balloon. We never used it improperly, overloaded it, or left it outside in inclement weather. It's only recently begun to balloon, rendering it useless. Replacement main tubes are available from the company that makes Big Mable, "Sportsstuff" (aka Airhead), but they will not be available until March or April of 2019! I'd like to keep it, but there's still a lot of summer left, and I'm in desperate need of something. We'll be done with Big Mable if I order a different towable for the summer.
This tube is extremely well-made, with a sturdy outside cover. Inflates and deflates quickly and easily. br>br>However, when deflating and folding back up, make sure the inside tube is aligned. I didn't, and getting the tube back inside, particularly the back, took a long time. However, there are hidden access zippers that can help. br>br>However, in terms of entertainment, we've found this tube to be a bit sterile. Sure, I can ride it across large wakes and get it to bounce a lot, but our kids prefer the flat tubes with no seats. They travel much faster across the wake, are much easier to throw, and are much easier to pull. br>br>This tube is quite large. We have a 19' with 6 cylinder I/O and it works fine, but I find that I need to pull this tube much faster to get things moving side-to-side. It can also trap water inside, adding to its weight. br>br>As a result, we have a much less expensive tube that we use the most, while the expensive tube just sits. This is a great tube to feel more secure if you have nervous children or adults. This is also fun if you don't mind speeding up the boat and going through some chop. I can fool people if I want to, but crashes aren't nearly as entertaining. br>br>Also, keep in mind that this thing takes up a LOT of space in the boat and is quite heavy when water gets trapped inside; we prefer to blow up our tubes before getting to the lake, so we have to tie this one down inside the boat with very little room to spare.
It's just the right size for a single person, and the kids adore it! "Big Mable this, Big Mable that, Tell It To Big Mable," and so on. A few notes: 1) "quick departure" (I. , acceleration) eliminated the tendency of almost any towable to torpedo ("water plowing" is an issue with almost any towable, depending on boat speed, angle of pull rope, weight distribution at start, etc. ) go slow and the towable's front edge will "dig down" into the water, etc. and 2) the second person is a simple 1. and-a- half- Again, it's larger than a single, round towable and can be carried overhead by someone with slightly above average upper body strength (if you can carry a big bag of ice 50 yards over your head, you can carry this thing), so consider whether you'll need two people to carry it, one on each side. Also, like any towable, kids' knuckles get raw after hours and hours of riding, so our kids learned to wear sports gloves they found on clearance. I've used it in front of a 19-foot tall building. For the past three days, I've been on a 15-foot Sea Ray with a 150-hp outboard motor, and it's been great!.
This thing is a lot of fun for everyone, and everyone at the lake is talking about it. It was so much fun that we even spun it around like a chariot. Because we're towing from a fishing boat, we spent the money on an inflatable ball to keep the line drag out of the water. So. Much. Fun.
Naturally, they declared Mable to be the most enjoyable activity they had ever experienced at our cottage. Over the weekend, the kids were dragged around for three days, and the float was simple to get in and out of the water in front of our cottage with two teenagers carrying it. We bought a 50-foot ski rope, but will upgrade to a 60-foot ski rope. FUN!.
This is the second time we've had the pleasure of meeting Big Mable. br>br>The first lasted for YEARS and could still be repaired if the company wasn't always out of common inflatable parts. br>br>We've discovered that Big Mable is more than capable of pulling two-person trailers. It can easily accommodate three teenagers (including full-grown males) and is enjoyable to use both forward and backward (chariot-style). br>br>We have a variety of tubes, wakeboards, skis, and other watercraft, but Big Mable is by far the most popular on the lake. Great for all ages, from small children who need to be kept safe to teens and adults who want to have a good time.
We bought a quick connect for the opposite side for an easy transition from the sitting position to the standing position. br>br>Key factors are not to leave it in the hot sunbr>br>don't yank it when you start to tow someone, first take up the slack and then speed up or the cloth will ripbr>br>Don't go too fast, 30 mph is really fast when being towed and 25 is the best speedbr>b Before each use, I also make sure the tube is properly inflated.
