The handles on no surf ropes are small so even if the rope drops, it cannot come back and your head will be crushed. It is extremely dangerous to use other ropes for surfing, purchase a specific surf rope instead.
The wake boarding rope I have chosen for a beginner is one I still consider good for people who have been wake boarding for several years.

It was important to me to have a rope that could be used separately as different rope lengths can be used I was specifically looking for 45', 55', 65' and 75' exactly as this item states it includes. The response I received was not what I expected. The advertisement indicates there are three reusable 10' sections, although there are only two in reality. There is already a handle on a 10' section in itself, but you have to have one, so you cannot remove it. Wakeboarding is not allowed to do 45' as advertised, which is a standard for certain aspects. It is not a good idea to wakeboard on this rope as it has quite a bit of give in it. There have only been 3 uses of it There are parts of the rope braid that have loosened up after going over the rope 4 times. In short, if you are looking for a cheap starter rope, it might be worth your time. But don't expect it to last for a very long time.
