How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

A 12 ft. long harness is suitable for towing one rider, but it should be used with boats that are wider than 6 ft.
AHTH-1 Tow Harness incorporates a towing attachment point to be placed behind your outboard or stern drive at the center of your boat.
It can be used as a towable tube for one rider to ski, wakeboard, or float
Your boat's prop will not be damaged by the attachment loop on top because a 6" float keeps it from floating on top of your boat
The opening of the Snap Hook measures 7/16" wide, with a break strength of 1,500 pounds

Questions & Answers

Which material is used to make the hooks?

Metal is what they are. Was that what you wanted to know?

Is it capable of pulling a lot of weight?

This is for a tube for one person, so the ratings will be the same as for a standard tube A two-person towing line with a 2000-pound capacity is available.

Do you think this will work for a vessel with an 8-foot ?

This was used on a 19 feet beam that was about 8 something feet long

Can this be mounted on the back of a Kawasaki ZXI ?

The vehicle is a large towable, but we aren't sure what type it is. Using a 14 foot Viking boat with a 25 hp Mercruiser, I used a merc 25 hp. Having pulled two kids, I'd think you're in the clear.

The design works as expected
4/5

My kids have used it on an aluminum fishing boat when they are tired of fishing. It works well. I like the floating feature, as it keeps it from getting stuck in the prop. A small problem I have is that the D rings are just a tad too small to fit easily over my boat's thick hoops. Once I have them pushed on, I have to hit them with my hand to snap them down over their heads. It may not fit my larger boat since I have a small boat. However, it is an excellent piece of equipment. At 12 ft, I also thought that it may be too long, but I think it is perfect. Due to the fact that it doesn't self-center, it works to whip someone on a tube. In addition to that, I saw a tow harness that self-centers, but was told that it is hard to get people outside the wake with it. This is exactly how I can see how that would be problematic following use of this. It's a much better option for tubers outside the wake than the Self Center if you want them outside the wake. Getting a quick connect from the same manufacturer is also a good idea if you don't want to knot your rope.

This is a great quality product
4/5

I looked at a similar rope which also had a flotation device attached. Wish I had gotten the flotation device. I didn't think I needed it. If the rope gets entangled in the wake, it sinks into it and shoots a spray of water directly Generally, I don't have a problem with the product itself I just thought it would be able to do more. Product has a very long lifespan and will last for years to come.

I like how it works
5/5

I chose this model in hopes of saving money, while my kids will be the main users. Unlike reviews I've read of other similar clips, this one doesn't seem as heavy. However, it opens a wide enough range of motion compared to some other clips. Although I would consider a larger float on the rope, I am also curious about whether it would result in While I am not going to overthink using it just a few times a year behind my bass boat, I will just use.

Tubing is a lot of fun! In addition to the tube, we have used a harness to tow a single person My harness works perfectly and the "Y" is long enough for me not to worry about getting caught up in the prop when I look down at it

My big 250lb fat butt took a beating pulling the boat out of the water (I was surprised my 60HP Yamaha had the power with 4 people on board
5/5

I'm happy with my purchase! We took a beating pulling out my 250lb fat butt (surprised my 60HP Yamaha had the power with 4 people on board and pulling me). The tow harness is great, it floats well and we're excited to use it again soon! The clips on the end of the device are extremely sharp, but that is the only knock.

Nonetheless, we bought this and it turned out to be super easy to use when we went Even though we aren't experienced boaters, we bought this and it was so easy to use when we wanted to go tubing on the lake
4/5

It is very simple and easy to use, and is During our trip, the packaging was tightly wrapped in zipties, that we forgot to take off before we got on the boat, and then we didn't have scissors or a knife. So, I urge you all to unwrap your packages and remove zipties before going out!.

The quality of the product is excellent
4/5

I would give it 5 stars, however, the floating device is either too small or insufficient to ensure that the rope is floatable in Worked for a long time. A few improvements need to be made to the float device.
