On the transom, the shackles are attached to the tow rings at the port and starboard sides. Do not use the white plastic dot Hickey is a quick connect. After pulling the rope through the hole, you loop a loop from your tow rope around your fingers. Pulling will keep this on and all you need to do to unhook it is to push the tow rope loop back and pull the fingers away from the tow rope loop. My apologies for the description, but it should be fairly self-explanatory.
However, I slip a noodler over both sizes as well
Our pontoon hooks were attached to them. Since they feature heavy duty D clips, they can be clipped on a pretty much anything.

This item was purchased based on the wording of the product name and the It should float so that it does not interfere with the prop and work to tow a two-person tube, since it is yellow and easy to see in the water. The snap hooks can only open 3/8 of an inch, which may not be enough for my transom. Based on the reviews, I was concerned the snap hooks would not fit. When I searched for an alternate option, I wasn't able to find anything that met the requirement, met my needs, and fit my preferences. The most likely thing I'll do is to find two Stainless Steel Snap Hook Carabiner hooks. (Make sure the load rating is high enough for one, two or three people). I'll then cut off the old snap hooks and replace them Below I have included photos of the hook that comes on the tow harness and the eye that it will not fit on the transom. My local Big Box Hardware Store had. I think it cost about $10 each in stainless steel, which has a working load limit of 540 pounds. The spring link measures 7/16 x 4 3/4 inches, and I added it to my 08/29/20 update. Despite using these to pull a tube for one person, they clip to my boat without a problem. The clips that come with these work great. I'm using those with the clips that are already attached, but if you cut off the original clips, they will not work.
It has been over a month since I bought it and just took it out for a few tubing runs yesterday. There are 1/2" eye bolts on the transom of my 21' dual console boat, which are reportedly too thick to accommodate Q&A I saw at the end of it It was necessary to actually file down the hooks on the gates in order to make them fit -- Nevertheless, it seems as if that would reduce the relationship's integrity. As for my packaging, I threw it out, so I'll just have to suck it up and buy another product. I wish they had mentioned the eye bolt size somewhere.
I have found just the thing I am looking for - a nice heavy duty bridal. As other buyers have pointed out, the hooks on the transom are not big enough to attach to the eyebolts. It came with two hooks that I removed with my fish and replaced them with two heavy-duty ones with my fishing line It's the duty ones on that will do a great job. A total of 600 pounds can be lifted using each hook.
It does its job. You will need a harness such as this if you plan to pull tubes or skiers behind a boat with an outboard. The rope floats and provides good visibility. It has proved to be reliable and durable. It is convenient to be able to attach tube ropes quickly using the quick connect. In addition to the clamps that attach to the transom u bolts, I had the same issue as others the locking arm on the clamp did not fit around the bolts on my transom. An angle grinder was used to shave the arm back a little, and now it fits snugly. The whole process is a bit annoying.
I had some pliers on hand the first time we went out and wanted to hook up the tube because as others have told us, the hook and latch are not quite right for most boats. What else can I choose from? The item works, seems fine, even though it is made of shoddy plastic rope, but what else is there to choose from? So it should get the job done, I guess.
Rope is large and strong and floats well, making it ideal Even very small boat clips cannot be used with the clips because the clips are too small. An intermediate clip must be attached to the boat in order to attach this to the It is unlikely that the harness' manufacturer ever tested the clips with which they are attached. I wouldn't recommend staying away from their products if this is all they offer.
There is nothing special about this product. On a boating outing yesterday, I used the rope for the first time. The rope is already being chafed inside the eyelet of the hook where there is a sharp edge cutting through it. The inside surface of a hook eyelet would look like this A burred and sanded surface is not likely to cause this problem. In essence, failing to make this last at least several years due to inadequate quality and workmanship. Buying this next time is not a good idea.
I wish it had an actual pulley like the two-person version. It seems heavy duty, but I'd like one with the real pulley. As we made turns, it was evident the back of the boat was being "pulled" by my 3 person tube. My boat actually slowed down quite a bit because of this. The Yamaha 150 OB I have on a 21' Chaparral is not large, so I don't feel it should have had that much of an impact. However, it still worked and held up quite well.
