Questions & Answers
Because your boards aren't as wide as a longboard, they should fit comfortably. Simply purchase a 6'6" bag.
No, it's not deep enough to double up on boards; instead, it zips up tight and close to just one.
Hello Katelynn,br>I searched online for a 7' foam Ron Johns board with a width of 21 11/16" and a thickness of 2 7/8". If that's the case, a bag measuring 7'0 x 24" will suffice. Thank you, br>
Because paddle boards are so wide, I believe these bags are more suited to surfers.

For an upcoming flight, I needed a sturdy board bag but didn't want to spend the hundreds of dollars required for a hard-side board coffin. I bought this bag based on the reviews and the assumption that even if it wasn't good enough to fly with, it would certainly protect the boards strapped to my roof rack. br>br>I have a funboard that is 7'6" long and a thruster that is 6'2" long. Both boards fit in this bag WITH enough extra room all around for each board to go in its own sock with the FCS fins removed (and stowed conveniently in the velcro pouch inside this bag). The socks add an extra layer of protection to my boards, which, when combined with the bag's 5mm padding, should keep them safe for the flight. br>br>The largest board that will fit in this bag is 7'6", and I purchased the 7'6" bag to accommodate it. Advantages: br>br>
- Padding is used all over the place, not just at the top and bottom - implying that a bump from the side should be dampened as wellbr>- Strong velcro strips allow you to "cinch" the bag's depth up or down as needed, which is useful when removing your fins because it prevents the boards from sliding around inside a bag with too much room. br>- The handle adds a nice finishing touch. It has a shoulder strap as well, but I took it off. br>- Inside the bag, there's a velcro pocket big enough for a few standard fins - If you've got a large-scale project, You might need to stash that somewhere else if you're an ass dorsal or longboard single, but it's a nice touch. br>br>Cons:
- Not a rigid coffin, but you won't find one at this price point.
If you don't have enough room for a long fin, there's velcro that automatically snaps together to keep it in place. Aside from the zippers and handle, I like how the bag is reinforced with waterproof canvas on both ends and in the middle, where bags typically get the most wear and tear. br>I expect it to last longer than some of the other board bags I've owned, which have shred easily. br>The bag appears to be made entirely of high-quality materials and workmanship. The zippers and handle are both well-made and sturdy, and the stitching is all well-reinforced. There is a Velcro pocket on the inside for storing surf wax. A rash guard, extra board shorts, or swimsuit could be stored in the side zippered pocket. It has the usual amount of padding that most boardbags have, and it comes with a carrying strap that could be useful if you're traveling through an airport with your board. br>After seeing mine, my husband is going to buy one because of the good quality and low price; they come in three sizes, so he'll get the short board size. It appears to be a quality company that has thought through the design well so that it functions as a boardbag should. The fabric and colors silver and navy are understated and masculine, but that's not a problem for me. They could probably sell a lot more to women if they made them out of nice fabric.
I can't speak to the bag's durability because I just got it, but I've heard that even Dakine or FCS bags don't last very long before the reflective materials start to break down. So, whether you're a weekend surfer or only surf once in a while, this bag should last you for years. I'm a regular surfer who moves his bags around a lot and flies them frequently, so they get a lot of use.
br>I went with the longer bag because I'd read too many reviews of other bags not fitting the board, so I went up in size; as you can see from the photos, I could have gone with an 8' bag for my 8' board. br>I don't have to worry about the fins sticking out because the bag is completely zipped. Granted, I don't have a single large fin, but rather three smaller ones. I can easily fit my full suit inside the board because of the extra space, and the padding is nice enough that I don't have to worry about scraping or dinging the board when I put it in the bed of my truck. br>The zippers are nice and big, so hopefully they won't snag over time; the silver portion feels like a thick blue tarp from the hardware store. If you like putting things away wet, there are a couple vents on the bottom of the bag, so it might be dry the next time you pull it out. br>Please let me know if you'd like to see more pictures from different angles.
Pro: br>I bought the 6'6" bag for my daughter's 6'6" Catch Surf Skipper, and it appears to be a well-made product. It's exactly what I was looking for. The padding is sparse, but it should suffice for storage and day trips to and from the beach. I wouldn't take this bag on an airplane. br>br>CON: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is not the place br>I heard a strange noise as I slid the board into the bag, and when I pulled it out, I noticed a damaged area. The zipper ends aren't covered, and the hard plastic edge scraped a bunch of tiny holes in the board; this shouldn't be too difficult to fix, but to avoid it, I covered the zipper ends with duct tape. If the tape falls off, I'll have to keep an eye on it to make sure I don't put the bird in the bag.
Just got it, but it appears to be really good and strong, with big zippers, doubled stiched, heavy duty webbing straps and shoulder strap connections. It even has two water drain holes that are neatly placed in the bag. It is perfect for my 6' Rocketwide. There is a large outer pocket as well as a small internal pocket. Hands down, the best value for money in a bag. I deducted a star because the logo/name is incredibly cheesy. I made it invisible by coloring it in with a black waterproof marker.
For my new foam 9' Catch-all, I needed a bag. All Log. Because of the board's width and thickness (foamies are thick and wide), I was concerned about the fit. I ordered the 9'6' Abahub, which fit perfectly. In fact, if you're worried about a 9' board, I'd recommend the 9'6" bag. I was also pleasantly surprised by the evident high level of quality and craftsmanship. I have several other high-end brand bags, and this one is just as nice; however, one of my other bags has seen a lot of travel and will need to be replaced. I'm going to get an Abahub to replace it.
