Is it possible to mount this to the roof of my car using soft racks?

Yes, it's a fairly stiff material, but it could become floppy in the wind, scratching the roof with excess "bag" or strap, etc.

Do you have a height of 9'2''?

This travel bag is perfect for my 9'4" Harley Ingleby's Diamond Drive. It's a fantastic bag that does a fantastic job of protecting the board. It has gotten a lot of positive feedback. It's a great buy that I strongly suggest. If your board is a 9'2", you should be fine; just make sure there's enough room to tuck a few wetsuits, a leash, and a towel in. You will not be disappointed if you purchase it.
