Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use these with a Jimmy Styks SUP?

While I'm not familiar with Jimmy Styks SUPs, I've tried them on three different boards and they're all great. The standard reset fin box is found on every board.

Will these fit on a 10' Ancheer SUP inflatable stand up paddle board?

It depends on the iSUP, but it appears that that board uses a slide-in fin, so this will not work. Any standard fin box will work with this.

Is this something that would work with a Surfmass inflatable paddleboard?

probably

What are the dimensions and lengths of these threads? 10- Is it really 32 3/4"?

Yes, these screws are 3/4" in length. The O- Even though the ring takes up some of that length, you'll still have plenty of room. To work with, you'll need 700" (18mm) of length.

Except if you're a complete moron
5/5

It's simple to use, the length was adequate, the width is narrow in comparison to other flathead bolt styles I've used, and I had no problems with them. br>br>I've tightened the bolt with my FCS surf fin key ring hole when my fingers weren't up to it, and I hope this tip comes in handy for someone else. br>br> Because not all center fin adapters are the same depth, some people may find the product to be too short. This is something you should be aware of if you have installed surf fin adapters or if you own multiple longboards with various center adapters.

This is a significant upgrade over my previous setup
4/5

This screw, which replaced a phillips head screw and a rectangle nut that had to be placed in a specific way, makes it much easier to secure the fin on my paddle board. To properly tighten it, you would need either a small screwdriver or something strong. This nut is square, so you drop it in after you've inserted the fin, line up the holes, screw in the screw, tighten it up, and you're done. It's easy to handle thanks to its design, and I've yet to lose a piece. In case something goes wrong, I keep an extra screw and nut in my bag. The only issue I see is that people with large fingers will have to use the screw to shimmy the nut into place so that it lines up with the fin hole. However, it is the best design I've come across thus far. Thanks!.

Perfect as a replacement or as a back-up! I was out on the lake over the weekend and realized I'd misplaced the fin hardware that came with my Hala board, so I ordered these from Amazon
5/5

I'm wary of ordering from Amazon because of all the fake reviews (it's difficult to tell what's actually good), but I'm glad I did. I'm glad I did because I just tested them and they're perfect: solid hardware, a great fit, and simple to install. They were too short for their board, according to another reviewer, but I'm guessing they have a non-standard board. As this was the same size as my previous hardware, it was a standard size. I'm glad I have a couple of backups in case I misplace one.

(Surfset Jetsetter) Perfection
5/5

I bought a PuraVita this year, and it's perfect. The Surfset Jetsetter is designed for use on Lake Superior and other bodies of water. My first day in the waves, I misplaced the screw that came with my board, as well as almost my entire fin! I came here because my local shop was closed. I believe that a set of three is adequate for the price, and that installation was painless. It feels extremely safe, and the paddle/o-ring is a nice touch. I don't know what to call it; it's a ring. br>br>My most important suggestion/question is: how do I carry a spare without losing it? I'd like a small pouch that can be attached to the key ring on my life jacket so I never have to worry about losing a fun! br>br>Will purchase again, but hopefully will not be required to;.

Some Naish products will work with these
5/5

My boat is a Naish 12'6" - I needed some "back up" fin screws for my "Glide" paddleboard, and I noticed that my current fin screw was 3/4" long. I ignored previous comments that these items would not fit Nasch and placed an order. They arrived today and were exactly what I was looking for. There's plenty of screw length to keep the fin in place. br>I don't know about other Naish products, but if your existing fin screw is 3/4", I'm sure these will work fine; they do on my board.

Fin screw replacement that doesn't require any tools
5/5

These "no-tool" fin screws do a good job; They appeared to be a pleasant extravagance, and as a same-day service, they seemed appropriate. They assisted me in filling out a separate order that I needed that day. The purchase has exceeded my expectations. I take my fin off after each session to make it easier to stack multiple boards in my Subaru Outback, and I've had no problems doing so. Although there is some rust on the threads and base, I was concerned that these screws would seize and be difficult to remove by hand. This has not been the case. I believe that frequent removal helps to prevent seizing, and I've never had any problems with them being loose after a session - I tighten them to a comfortable hand tightness without exerting excessive force. I'd recommend them if you want to swap fins on your longboard quickly; I've only used one so far, but it'd be nice to have three on hand in case you need to replace screws on another board. After about two months of regular weekend sessions, the ring still appears to keep the screw tight.

Screws are only just long enough to get the job done
3/5

It worked, but only after 20 minutes of frustration. First and foremost, I want you to know that these did work, but only after about 20 minutes per board, and two hours of fiddling with various things to hold the nut in place so that the screw could be inserted. The screw should be a little longer. We ended up holding the nut up with the ear piece of a pair of sunglasses until the screw could reach it and grab it. If the screw had been just a hair longer, it would have reached perfectly, and the rating would have been a perfect 5. I only gave it three stars because it appears that there was not enough research put into the design. This is a fantastic idea. The delivery was not up to par. br>br>Once I see a new set that incorporates this feedback, I'll be happy to update this review.

Longboard performance in the water can be tweaked! The ability to adjust fin placement on my longboards while in the water is the obvious benefit of this fin screw
5/5

The position of your fins has a significant impact on your performance. Many people simply install fins and forget about them. I have a variety of longboards and fins, so it's fun to try new things and see what works best. Recheck it because the rubber grommit could break, but it isn't necessary.
