If you don't have a rack, you could tie the board down by letting the straps go through the car. br>The downside is that the gasket on the top of the door frame must withstand some pressure, and passengers must become accustomed to straps hanging near their heads.
At times, I use these to transport two inflatable paddle boards, while at other times, I use them to transport a kayak and paddle board. They do an excellent job of securing two items to a roof rack.
Yes, but you'll need to get creative with how you thread the straps because they're long but thin, maybe 1" at most. The buckles are on one end of the 5" belt. Mine is used to secure a large rolled-up air mattress to the boat's roof - I usually use the buckle part to secure the end around the mattress, then wind it around several times before tying the tail end to something. This isn't why I bought them in the first place, but it'll suffice. I would simply get some ratcheting straps with hooks on the ends if you have a roof rack on your car.

These cargo straps are what I use to secure a kayak in the bed of a pickup truck with the tailgate down. They are extremely effective. I bought this type of cargo strap because the cam buckles on these straps are so much easier to use than the ratchets on ratchet straps. The cam buckle tightens the straps, ensuring that the cargo is securely held in place. These straps appealed to me in particular because the cam buckles are powder-coated. Rest on 1. coat painted black (to match the straps) The straps can be stored in the included drawstring carry bag, which is made of 5" wide polypropylene fabric (to help prevent surface scratches). These cargo straps are highly recommended, and I would buy them again if the opportunity arose.
I'm wearing the straps for the second time. The first time was fantastic; however, the second time was even better. There are no issues. However, while driving down the freeway the second time, one of the straps completely snapped in the middle. Our board was about to fly away like a kite, but I was able to pull off the shoulder just in time to avoid an accident. I kept the straps in my closet for three months (in a cool, dry environment) before using them for the first time, and they weren't overly sinched down. The quality of these straps raises serious concerns for me. Please be prepared to pull over to the side of the road at any time!.
These straps have made my life so much easier. They fit perfectly in the built-in tie-down loops on my Outback's roof rack. Strap and buckle of high quality. They did an excellent job of securing my kayak. If you're quick, you can put the board or kayak on the vehicle and secure it in the same amount of time you took it off. Also, there's a nice broader nylon flap behind the buckle. The buckle will not damage your board or kayak as a result of this. I'd buy them again without a doubt.
The straps are fantastic. It's simple to use and is made of high-quality materials. I've had them for a month and they're still in good condition (despite the fact that I've taken good care of them and stored them properly). I'll keep you updated as time goes on. I am pleased with the long-term wear.
3- UPDATE FOR THE YEAR: For the past three years, I've been using it consistently. Everything is still working perfectly! I've done a good job of keeping them out of direct sunlight and harsh weather. The clamps are still firmly in place, and there is only minor fraying along the length of the fabrics. The ends are frayed, but nothing that a little trimming and a lighter can't fix. Get your hands on these, buckle up your gear, and have a good time!.
I understand that they have to make money, but the prices are ridiculous. This strap may be of higher quality than that of well-known brands such as Dakine or Turle. The strap is significantly thicker than that of other manufacturers' products, and the buckle is reliable. This is a strap that I strongly recommend.
Our kayaks are secured to the racks on our dock with these. They've held up exceptionally well, despite the fact that we've had a lot of wind recently. They even held up during a water spout; we were relieved to find the kayaks still on the racks after the storm had passed. These are something I would recommend. They're of a good length and are simple to work with.
They have the appearance of being high-quality buckles. The webbing is quite substantial - Unlike some other brands I've tried, this one is not cheap. These straps come highly recommended by me.
The metal clasp and nylon fabric are of high quality. It's incredibly simple to tighten and release when attaching. They come with a diagonally cut end, which made it more difficult for me to slide into the clasp. . . . Cutting straight and melting the cut end with a match to prevent fraying was a simple solution. I'd buy it again, and I've already told my daughter about it for her paddleboard.
