On a slightly curved surface, I believe it would. If you have a heat gun, you may be able to gently heat the mount to bend it slightly. br>br>I'm hoping that suggestion is useful.
The MightyMounts of YakAttack are dark in color.
The MightyMount XL is compatible with all YakAttack products, including those with the LockNLoad Mounting System, such as the Omega Pro Rod Holder, PanFish Pro Camera Mount, and the fishfinder mount family. The only mount that will not work with the LockNLoad base is the original MightyMount, which is available in the GT175, GT90, GTSL90, MightyMount Switch, and MightyMount II versions. The original MightyMount was a smaller square base that was discontinued a few years ago and replaced by the MightyMount II, which has updated geometry to accommodate the track teeth found on the LockNLoad, DoubleHeader, SideArm, and GT Cleat.
The Mighty Mount XL track is 9 inches long and 6 inches wide. It's only 5" long, so your box won't fit. You'll need the Mighty Mount XL 12" to complete this task.

As long as you don't plan on using this rail as a tie-down, you're good to go. This will suffice as a down/anchor point for your yak in most situations. Although the topside rail slot has some flex, it is still suitable for a rod holder, a small GPS/finder, a cup holder, a rocket launcher, a bong, or a flame thrower.
Low-profile design allows for a variety of applications. I mounted them on the decks of our sit-on-top kayaks and installed custom-built seats to replace the uncomfortable factory seats, giving me the ability to adjust the seats on the kayaks.
Kayaks aren't the only ones who use them. br> It flexes a little. I used it on the dash of my truck, which has small curves in both directions.
- There are plenty of holes to locate screw sweet spots.
- Build a variety of mounting options with the Ram mount ball(s).

They arrived quickly, were well-packaged, and included all necessary screws. It was simple to set up.
When installing, use caution and place a bolt in the slot to prevent it from closing up while you're working. It's easy to squeeze it closed a little where you're putting your screw into the yak and the bolt won't slide the entire length.
This is an excellent track.
It was simple to set up, but I have yet to test its functionality in the field. When it's loaded with accessories, I'm not sure how sturdy it'll be.
I like the product, and the hardware was included, so I didn't have to go to the store.
